This was our fourth HAL cruise, and we were very disappointed. Holland America has been wonderful in past years, and we have extolled it's virtues, but this Eurodam cruise seemed understaffed, and the service was lackadaisical at best. We booked a Signature Suite but found that it was just a larger verandah stateroom with absolutely no "suite" amenities.

We have only sailed with Celebrity Cruises (6 in the last 10 years). It’s sad to see that post-Covid, despite investing in refurbishing their ships, they’ve taken away some of the things that made it a 5-star experience.

This was my 18th cruise. It all began with plumbing problems on my 2022 cruise on Island Princess. I had received a good will discount that had to be applied within a year. The Pros: Fun activities. Not over the top. The Food was good but seemed the same over and over. (see cons). Baha Mar in Nassau was an easy and very good excursion. Try to get it on sale. Entertainment was beyond excellent!!!!!!!! All employees FABULOUS! Our embarkation was easy because we got there about 2:30.

What made this trip was the itinerary!!! I liked that we didn’t have to sign after each purchase with the uncomfortable feeling of needing to tip extra with our special drink and dining package. We enjoyed the itinerary or ports of call visited. Cartagena and going through the Panama Canal were the highlights. I would suggest that the descriptions of the excursions include how long the bus rides are. We spent 3 hours in a bus going to the Rain forest in Costa Rica and saw only birds and lizards/frogs at the destination. We did see monkeys and a sloth during the ride there.
