The Old School Ship of the Seas should be the name. The actual ship. Needs a paint job and renovations but has a lot of smiling faces on board with the best customer service.

The 8/22/09 Enchantment sailing was our 6th RCI cruise (Freedom in 2006 being our most recent RCI cruise, which was also our last cruise), 17th cruise overall. Leaving NY to FLL Saturday 8/22: We left from LGA on Delta flight 1501, scheduled to depart at 7:10am. Did online check in Friday, printed our boarding passes, and paid for two large suitcases at $15 a piece (had to be under 50LBS ...

My boyfriend and I decided to take our first vacation together on a cruise aboard the Enchantment of the Sea. since this was our very first cruise we had an open mind. Parking wasnt bad at all since we decided to arrive early. we caught the shuttle to the pier and proceeded inside. check in was speedy and got our first picture taken. It took a while to get our luggage but that wasnt a big deal ...

This was our 8th cruise, all with RCCL.   Last 6 have been on Voyager class or Freedom class ships and we've had balcony each time.   Due to circumstances this cruse was shorter, on a smaller ship and we had an inside cabin.   The ship - we liked Enchantment very much.  Room:Room was OK-  we were in the expanded area of the ship and had a shower with a real door, not a curtain.   This was our ...

The original plan was to drive from West Palm Beach to Saint Augustine for a long weekend. But several folks advised against it, saying that Saint Augustine was great for a day; maybe two, but not worth a whole long weekend. So then we started looking at last minute "cheap flights" to a fun city...perhaps New York? New Orleans? Somewhere in the search, a cruise popped and we said, "Why not?" We ...

My wife and I just completed our 15th cruise together; most of which have been on Royal Caribbean.  Enchantment of the Seas is an older ship in the RCI fleet, but exceeded our expectations for a 4 night itinerary.  The ship was lengthened and refurbished in 2005 and still looked fabulous on this cruise 4 years later.  Here are some points I want to touch on:1.  Food - I am one of those people that ...

My family just returned from an amazing cruise on the July 6th sailing of the Enchantment of the Seas!  The cruise sailed from and ended in Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, and the ports included Key West, Florida; Cozumel, Mexico; and Belize City, Belize. Now that we've been back a couple days and have settled down, it's time for a short review!  I'll just mention some of my personal ...

This was my third cruise, daughter's second.  We stayed overnight  at the Ft Lauderdale Marina Hilton where I got a free night based on honors points, but would have regretted if I had had to pay for same.  We got to the port around 11 am and embarkation was very easy.  The gentleman coordinating it  was very pleasant.  We were  on the ship by around noon. The food in the Windjammer was plentiful- ...

My husband, adult daughter and I cruised on the Enchantment of the Seas in July/Aug 2009. The ports of call were Key West & Cozumel. Our experience on the ship was mixed. We loved the redesigned look, with the sweeping arches on the top of the ship. The look of the ship is lovely--very well done. Our cabin was our first disappointment. We booked a last-minute deal and got a great rate, but the ...

Embarkation Day - 1 (Wednesday) I didn't have enough vacation hours to take off the whole day, so I worked until 3. My boyfriend met me at work and drove me to the airport. I wish he had come along with us, but in the beginning it was only supposed to be me and my niece (a nice aunt/niece trip). Then my mom wanted to come, but ended up asking my sister and bil to go instead as a vacation for ...
