Extremely poor customer service. purchased the upgraded drink package and told several times we did not have drinks covered. drinks were horrible. ran out of beer on the second day of the cruise and no one knew when they would replenish the supply. rooms were dated and hallways smelled of sewage. clearly a problem as they were replacing the carpet on our floor mid cruise. food was horrible ...

I was really excited to get back and give Costa Deliziosa a proper review. I am not sure which cruise most folks that have had issues with this cruise sailed on though my experience was completely opposite. So yes I have been on about 10 cruises in The U S and one out of Rome. Also I used to work on a ship (Everyone a large vessel is not a boat. It is a ship) years ago. Pre registration was ...

We just came back from a 37 day cruise (Western Caribbean and Transatlantic) with the Costa Deliziosa, starting on february 21. It was our 25th cruise and the 6th or 7th time with Costa and absolutely the very last one with Costa!! Positive points 1) The service in the bars. The waiters take your order electronically and we had our drinks always within 5 minutes. 2) The system of hosts ...

Costa -Deliziosa Our 11-day cruise (February 21, 2019) generally was made most enjoyable by the crew. Very helpful, pleasant & happy to serve you. Everybody spoke English as well as two or three other languages as well, so there was always someone to help you as needed. This was a very International passenger list as the 11 days thru the Western Caribbean was the intro trip to the repositioning ...

I was on other cruise where the cabin was so small we had to keep open luggage under the bed and use them as closets.Costa cabin is so nice and spacious. The cleaning of the cabin, is so amazingly good, in the minimum details. and any request was looked into! Amazing clean bathrooms all over at any time. And if there was an issue on the public spaces if you notified it, they were instantly ...

Ship services were not ready after being in Dry Dock for 2 weeks.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oosterdam

We loved the itinerary and decided to book for this reason. We thought the ship was tired looking in any area that was not renovated by the time in Dry Dock. The new areas were beautiful but did not do justice to the fact that the ship was not ready. The pool was closed for the first 2 days out of port with painting and drilling going on. Shops were also closed. We had painting continuing for the ...

My husband and I had never been to Europe, so we chose this cruise to get a good "sample" of countries. The 8 days at sea sailing across the Atlantic were relaxing and a great way to start our trip. The Oosterdam is a beautiful, elegant ship. Our cabin was wonderful (see below). We loved all the ports except Huelva, Spain. If you dock there, you might want to take an excursion to ...

This was our first cruise with Holland America and our first Transatlantic cruise. The itinerary was like none we had seen and we were excited to be going to 16Ports! We were impressed with how quickly and smoothly the embarkation and disembarkation went. The Oosterdam was in dry dock prior to our departure from Fort Lauderdale. The two week refit in the Bahamas included: New bottom ...

My partner and myself had wanted to do the North Atlantic to Northern Europe but when this deal came along, we couldn't resist. Unfortunately my partner lost his passport on day of sailing and missed the departure. Big Hint here: First thing to do is to call Holland America and advise them. They will then try to help you get to next port and will do everything necessary to help you avoid large ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Royal Princess

We enjoy a spring transatlantic and specifically the longer days at sea. Destination, price and timing made this cruise a good choice. However, the larger ship offers some very big negatives: size of the balconies--miniscule; no wooden dance floor to dance to at the WheelHouse so no easy place to meet other couples who enjoy dancing, and the quality of the food was inconsistent. Some ...
