I chose to do a cruise on Disney to give my 9 grandson something memorable as this was his first vacation. He was very excited and really did enjoy the cruise. The dining was exceptional. The only problem was BED BUGS!!!! This WAS a memorable vacation because he had a miserable time with the bites for the rest of our vacation. Not the kind of vacation we planned on having. We ended up in our room because he welted up pretty bad and the itching of the bites were horrible. I believe he had over 100 bites all over his body. We also had bites but not as bad as our poor 9 year old. Disney has not contacted me. I do not think they plan on doing anything about there bed bug problem!!!! My complaint is being ignored. They had a pirate night that he wanted to get involved in. I bought a costume on the ship for $100. He was very excited to be a pirate but they should have involved the kids more! Nobody was there to even take pictures to add to our memory book. After the show was over and movie it was like if he dressed up for nothing. Don't waste your money! Read Less

We spent four days on the Dream and had a great time. We were apprehensive after reading about all of the problems that cruisers experienced the first few months that the ship was in operation. Practice must make perfect because almost everything was first rate. If you are fans of Disney's Wonder and Magic, then you might have concerns about the size of the Dream; however, after several sailings on this ship you'll no doubt love it too. What we liked: The food and service in all three restaurants were fantastic. The "cruise or smart casual" dress code in the dining rooms for dinner. The beds were heavenly and there was ample storage in the cabins. Castaway Cay's adult beach was peaceful and the water was so clear. The 24-hour beverage station (on all Disney ships) was convenient. The AquaDuck is a great ride, but you need to have good knees to get into and out of the raft. The duty-free shop was larger and nicer than the ones on the Magic and Wonder. The two cell phones in each cabin are a great idea, but'(see below) What we didn't like: The cell phones in the cabins are extremely difficult to program even for those who are technologically astute. The size/number of the swimming pools is inadequate. We read that numerous times and just want to say that we AGREE! On the Wonder and Magic, Mickey Ice Cream Bars ordered through roomservice are free but on the Dream you will pay full price. Tip: If you have a 220-voltage adapter (round one) bring it along; otherwise, leave hair dryers, curling irons, and phone chargers at home. We read that there were no 110 outlets in the cabins but couldn't believe it. We searched the cabin but could only find 220 outlets. Also, there are no hair dryers in the cabins; you will need to ask your cabin host. As for curling or straightening hair, you're out of luck. Read Less
