Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Crown Princess

OK, so I'm back. Day 3 and I still feel like I'm on the ship. (Will this feeling ever go away?) Back to the reality of daily life. First let me say the service was fantastic. The crew/staff really go all out to make sure that your experience goes smoothly. The shows: I was expecting sort of a H.S. type "Glee" thing, I was shocked- BROADWAY AT SEA. I made a mental note of names because I expect ...

Saturday, April 14 Arrived 11:40. People already boarding. Lengthy line that snaked around the terminal but moved reasonably well. As my daughter said: "we've waited longer for Dumbo". Got through security with my rolling wine carrier filled with 8 bottles with no problem. Waited all of one minute to be assisted at the check in counter and were processed immediately on board. We were on the ship ...

We had no idea Princess Cruises were catered for the elderly, (live and learn). - There was a constant flow of "American" fare, unexciting for us, since we enjoy piquing our palates, frozen seafood-sometimes overcooked, lots and lots of beef, no wholegrain breads or pasta/rice, some breakfast items like oatmeal, fruits, yogurt and toast were cut off at 8:00am on day of disembarkation, even ...

We were very pleased with our Crown Princess cruise 5 years ago. We travel with other couples every 5 years, and it was unanimous that we go on the Crown Princess again. This is a very nice ship, a larger category. Rooms are nice, plenty of storage and room to move around. Our Cabin was an obstructed ocean view, but we had great visibility. Most impressive was there attention to detail in ...

Hey everyone! First and foremost, we had a great time on the cruise! We left out of Port Everglades, FL, went to Grand Cayman, Roatan, Honduras, Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico. The weather was perfect, seas calm, until we got to Cozumel, it drizzled in the morning, but the sun came out later in the day and the seas were a little choppy, but nothing unbearable. The entire crew was very ...

After sailing the Crown for our anniversary last year, I chose the Crown again for our second cruise with a similar itinerary (Western Caribbean) as it had changed somewhat and we had only visited two of the four ports the first time around. Due to work schedules, we flew from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale the morning of embarkation. It was a non-stop flight and we utilized the Princess transfer. ...

Wonderful Crown Cruise

Just before our cruise, the Crown had had two weeks of norovirus problems. They returned two days early and cleaned the entire ship. We were the next group to go out and were praying that everybody would be healthy this time and that it would not be necessary to come back early. There was no problem at all! Just a wonderful cruise. Loved the Captain--he seemed to really care about his passengers. ...

We were on the cruise immediately following a deep cleaning of the ship. Previous passengers had disembarked on Thursday, and on Saturday we began our itinerary as planned. There were many stories about all the illness that had occurred on the prior sailing. Several of our passengers had been on the ship the week before and were completing a back-to-back. Whenever the captain made an ...

We wanted to introduce our two granddaughters and their husband's, who are all in their 30's, to cruising. We needed a ship that would have some appeal to those in their 30's and us who are 65+. We chose the Crown Princess because of the size of ship (3,100 passengers), dining venues, ports, spa, casino, and variety of things to do on board. Embarkation - from Ft. Lauderdale was ...

The month of January 2012 on the Crown Princess

Why I Took This Cruise: On a previous Princess Cruise I purchased a future cruise for $100 and was told that some of the less expensive cruises are right after the holidays, so I decided before Jan. 2011 to take these 4 cruises. . EMBARKATION: For me this went smoothly as I was Platinum and along with the Elites & Suites we had separate lines for embarkation. I took my bags with me, went to my ...
