Excellent Cruise, Bad News on Tours

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Crown Princess

I chose this cruise because I wanted just a short break during a winter holiday in Florida. This 5-day sailing filled the bill. The biggest hassle (apart from one awful tour) was the nearly 2-hour wait for the Princess transfer from FLL airport to the ship. Once the coach finally arrived, the whole transfer/check-in/boarding experience went very smoothly and quickly. I always enjoy the extra ...

The Crown Princess is feeling tired

First off, let me mention that this cruise was wholly chartered by Air Miles Canada and we didn’t pay a dime for it. On board were approximately 1000 collectors and their guests, as well as partner personnel and Air Miles employees who had won the cruise. Needless to say, our experience was likely different as we did not have an international crowd, nor did we actually pay for the Crown Princess’ ...

Great Price for a last minute trip. We have sailed on this ships three times now. Embarkation was so smooth, arrived at port about 11:30 a.m. on ship in about 20 minutes. Dropped bags off in cabin (R616) and headed out to explore. Our cabin steward was great, easy to locate and very friendly, Chai. We set sail on time and off we went to the Western Mexico ports. Smooth sailing with only two ...

Nice Cruise, Ship Needs an Update

We love to cruise with Princess. The crew, food and entertainment are always great. However, this Ship needs to be “refreshed”. Fortunately they have a refurbishment scheduled for Spring 2018. The cabins, furniture and decor are not current with other ships and cruise lines. We also feel that the menu should be revised. We have been on 3 different Princess Ships recently and the choices are ...

We have been on 22 cruises on various lines, 9 on Princess; Princess being our obvious favorite and it always comes down to the entertainment. Princess is best for an active older crowd but not ready for Holland. The evenings are always packed with things to do to the point you get frustrated cause you can't fit it all in. But, it sure beats going back to the room after the show and watching ...

Decided to take a short cruise mid year before our 15 day transatlantic in October and wanted to visit a couple of ports we actually haven't been to. There aren't many left. So we chose this one since it visited Roatan and Belize - new to us. We were a bit hesitant about the April date as it was still spring break for some and that is not our ideal time to cruise because of the large amount of ...

We were in Balcony Riviera 703....lovely room, without a sofa, and great balcony. However, I picked one that vibrated constantly....not terribly and you do did get used to it. It was beside the back stairway/elevators and super location but because of the motors it vibrated..... My mistake. The bathroom was tiny but was totally adequate. Ladies if you need to shave your legs, put a foot on the ...

We wanted a short getaway out of Fort Lauderdale and found a fairly good deal. Embarkation and disembarkation were both slower than on previous cruises. There were lines for embarkation outside and disembarkation lines at customs. We enjoyed the comedian and productions shows. The ventriloquist was not good. We had a very nice cruise. We were disappointed that Princess had taken the beef ...

We were very pleased with our Crown Princess cruise 5 years ago. We travel with other couples every 5 years, and it was unanimous that we go on the Crown Princess again. This is a very nice ship, a larger category. Rooms are nice, plenty of storage and room to move around. Our Cabin was an obstructed ocean view, but we had great visibility. Most impressive was there attention to detail in ...

Wonderful Crown Cruise

Just before our cruise, the Crown had had two weeks of norovirus problems. They returned two days early and cleaned the entire ship. We were the next group to go out and were praying that everybody would be healthy this time and that it would not be necessary to come back early. There was no problem at all! Just a wonderful cruise. Loved the Captain--he seemed to really care about his passengers. ...
