We fly yearly from the east coast to San Francisco to visit family and friends so we thought sailing there through the old locks of the Panama Canal and see places we had never been before was a great way to go.
The ship had just come out of dry dock but I can tell you no attention was paid to anything other than laying internet lines for future use. The couch in our cabin needed a thorough ...
Be careful of the upsells. Everything you do comes with an equally priced upsell. 150$ tooth whitening with a 150$ maintenance kit. 300$ to swim with dolphins and a 340$ photo package. Massage? 260$ in creams offered. Want drinks? $895 for one person unlimited drinks. The staff was phenomenal. The boat is on its last sea legs
I reccomend private excursions at half the price. Just get off the ...
Chose Princess for the full canal transit. The ship arrived late in Ft. Lauderdale late from drydock in Freeport, with many items not completed. Boarding was hours late. Items such as carpet replacement (including our stateroom) continued during the cruise. Balcony stateroom was fine, with outstanding steward. Ship wide food not memorable, with Horizon Court lunch disappointing. Outstanding ...
The service was poor, the meals were nothing to write home about, but our cabin and the ports were great. Also great was Doug Funk, one of the entertainers. He’s so funny. We’ve seen him on other Princess Cruises,so we were happy to see him on this one.
The entertainment is usually campy on Princess. Their broadway shows are laughable. But on this cruise we had a magician, a guitarist, a ...
We chose this cruise because we had heard great things about the Princess Cruise Line and Princess' Panama Canal Cruise. This was our first time on Princess Cruise Line and we were shocked and dismayed at the Coral Princess’ condition when we embarked at Ft. Lauderdale.
Our stateroom had dirty windows leading to the balcony. The balcony had paint on the floor and chairs along with debris on ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I loved the itinerary, but wish we would have chosen other staterooms on a different deck. Overall the ship needs overhauled.
Quite disappointed in the photography....same 2 backgrounds offered for the first three nights of the cruise. One of those was a white background and it was offered another 2 nights. How many ...
I chose this cruise due to the fact that it ended in Los Angeles, started in the USA (in this case I took a transfer from Miami airport to Fort Lauderdale but did not hang out in Florida). It was a good choice for me economically and for relaxation purposes. Both embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. I knew it would be a calmer cruise with few ports. For this vacation, that is what I ...
We decided to cruise for the holidays and visit in California. We boarded the ship after a flight to Fort Lauderdale. We got into the airport about 1:30 and after a short cab ride we boarded the ship without a line. We did Alaska on this ship about 5 years ago. We were on the Dolphin deck with a balcony on the starboard side. The rooms and the ship are showing signs of age. We were a little ...
Cruise was OK for a holiday getaway. Ship (Coral Princess) is showing her age. We are unhappy with the daily "gratuity" charged to each person. The cruise itself wasn't cheap; however, the "gratuity" charges added $400+to our charges. I would pay an additional amount to be included in the overall cruise charge, rather than pay an exorbitant tariff at the end of the cruise. I don't feel I'm ...
One of the highlights of every cruise I have been on is the food. The food on this cruise was horrible. Frequently the buffet repeated the food of the previous day, and would offer 3 types of pork as it's main entre selections (and the same baked chicken which was always present). The same food served on the buffet would be on the menu for dinner table service. One night 5 of 6 people at my ...
