Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Coral Princess

We chose this Panama Canal cruise because it started and ended in the same port, Ft. Lauderdale. All of the ports on this itinerary were new to us, a great adventure. Embarkation was fine, we were even on the ship in advance of our anticipated boarding time. The disembarkation was terrific because we chose to use EZ Check that took our bags from outside our stateroom and delivered them to ...

Our prior experience with Princess has been on one Alaska cruise and two 28 day repositioning cruises - one across the Pacific and one across the Atlantic. In fact our Alaska cruise was on this same ship - the Coral Princess. It was about 10 years ago and I believe the ship is showing some of it's wear and tear now. Overall the staff, especially the room steward and servers, were most ...

This was our seventh cruise on Princess, and eleventh overall. Our last with Princess was the Pacific Princess in 2008 and as with previous trips, all was good and up to expectations. Since that cruise, we've been on Regent Seven Seas and Oceania plus a small ship in Alaska. Our impression on the Coral princess is that the ship needs refurbishiing; she's showing her age. Plus the qulity of the ...

My first disappointed, price and dealing with customer service from princess directly. Yes, my fault not to have an agent. I went with my parents both over 80's dining experience wasn't great during the night we ended in late dining, when we try to get table earlier we were rejected in the MD. I did have to talk with several people before we were allow in AT ... first night queue for dinner ...

Comparing this cruise to othes that I made before, here are my commrnts: the ship was quite nice , not a new one, the cabin (mini suite) was big enough for 3 people and comfortable.it was everything that was good. the cabin service was not so cooperative, my requests were complied lukewarmly the food was common, no big enough choise, nothing that I can say was delicious or very tasty, ...

This was a repositioning cruises. This was the longest trip I had been on. I like a lot of fun activities. A lot of games. This trip everything was laid back. The entertainment was ok. We had anytime dining. Sometimes we couldn't get in until 7:30-8:00pm when most of the show were on. We had great service, cabin was clean. Staff was great. Our excursion were rushed. One port we when on ...

Our adult, single daughter fought for her life a year ago. After 10 weeks in the hospital and many days recovering at our home, her health has improved significantly. We all needed a way to leave the dark days, stress and a year of sacrificing behind with a memorable vacation. She loves tropical weather; my retired husband and I enjoy visiting new destinations. We may never go to Central or ...

Glad we went on this cruise but we will not do it again. My husband & I along with sister & husband with several friends booked this cruise as we thought seeing the Panama Canal would be a great experience. Think best way to rate is pros & cons for us as others may have a different set of priorities. Pros: We live in Key Largo, FL so driving to the port was easy, no dealing with airports. The ...

My wife and I are Elite cruisers with Princess and, although we've cruised the Panama Canal several times, we wanted to see the new construction. So, we booked a ten day cruise that would allow us to do so. We were among the 40 most Princess-traveled cruisers on board. We're not new at this. Embarkation was OK. However, we were quite surprised as we boarded the Coral to find it smelling ...

This review should probably get a 3.5. Better than average although not good enough to be rated a 4 for very good. The good news: the ship is pretty; she shows her age but wears the years well. Our inside cabin was lovely, well designed and quite roomy with lots of closet and storage space. The negative: a very small shower stall. We are not ample people and showering was a challenge! We ...
