One of the highlights of every cruise I have been on is the food. The food on this cruise was horrible. Frequently the buffet repeated the food of the previous day, and would offer 3 types of pork as it's main entre selections (and the same baked chicken which was always present). The same food served on the buffet would be on the menu for dinner table service. One night 5 of 6 people at my table ordered lobster, and we all returned it- it was rubbery, very salty and smelled terrible). Seriously, almost everyone I spoke with complained about the food, it was awful and not up to the standards of even a discount family restaurant. Two nights I ordered a steak (at an additional cost) and both times they were tough and dry. One meal took over an hour before the entrees were served. The best food on the ship was the hotdogs by the main pool on deck 15, and I frequently resorted to that after not completing a dining room meal. Oh, and the French fries were good. The general service on the ship was very good. Although there were several entertainment highlights which were outstanding, most of the nightly shows were mundane and lackluster. Not many interesting daytime activities. Heavy (in your face) art auction and jewelry store "once-in-a-lifetime lucky you" auction/sale barrages, and a so-so lecture series throughout the cruise discussing the history of medicine, but other than Bingo, not a lot to entertain you during the day unless you like-- no, love chamber music, board games or sewing circle type activities. A metal protrusion was sticking out of a wall where a handrail was missing, and cut my arm one evening. The ship made me pay my own on-board clinic visit made necessary by this injury, and did not re-emburse me for this expense. We were not in territorial waters and the casino closed at 11:45 p.m. on New Year's Eve, and did not reopen until the following day. (Seriously, what casino closes on New Year's Eve? Apparently, Princess Cruise casinos do. Absurd.) One the plus side: great staff and very organized excursion disembarkation. Many passengers who had previously cruised with Princess many times stated this was a bad cruise and not typical of their experiences on other Princess cruises. Overall, in my opinion, this was a boring cruise. It had unacceptably bad food, offered mostly lackluster entertainment and daily activities, and was basically a tired uninspired cruise. Would never want to do it again. Read Less

We decided to cruise for the holidays and visit in California. We boarded the ship after a flight to Fort Lauderdale. We got into the airport about 1:30 and after a short cab ride we boarded the ship without a line. We did Alaska on this ship about 5 years ago. We were on the Dolphin deck with a balcony on the starboard side. The rooms and the ship are showing signs of age. We were a little concerned about too many children with a Christmas trip but it wasn’t a problem. We would have enjoyed a little more music during the day in the middle area of the ship. The nightly entertainment was good and we enjoyed most of the shows. The staff on the ship was helpful and they all seemed friendly and outgoing. The meals were just ok. We did the Chefs table one night and it was great! I enjoyed the all day tour in Panamá and especially enjoyed seeing the new locks and the ride on the bus back to the Atlantic side. The internet was very slow all the time. It looks like they could upgrade to a faster system and people would be happy to pay for a system that works. We missed on port because of bad weather but the trip was good. Read Less

We had a great time. Embarkation was smooth. Even though the ship was full it never seemed crowded. We had the last port side balcony on the 8th deck. We were able to see not only out to the side but also to the back. This was great when going through the canal. We were even able to reach out and touch the side wall of the Panama Canal in one of the locks. The main anytime dining room was good but we only ate there 3 out of 15 days. The Horizon Buffet had more choices and excellent food. We were very impressed with the Ramon Noodle bar where you picked your own ingredients. They cooked it and brought it out to your table. They did this on 2 different nights. They also did an excellent Mongolian BBQ bar the same way twice. They always got your drinks for you. Each table in the buffet at night had a place-mat, water goblet and your wrapped silverware in place. When you ordered an omelet for breakfast they brought it to your table instead of having to stand there and wait for them to cook it. The entertainment was excellent. The service from the staff was exceptional at all times. Was the cruise perfect? No, but we were impressed. The ship was well thought out. They had a card room where you could go to play games instead of having to find a table at the buffet or some other place to play. The Library was big. All the ports were secondary to going through the canal. We took the train when we anchored in Panama City. It was great. The tenders returning to the ship were slow. We stood over one hour to get back to the ship. Would we do it again? YES. Would we go on the Coral Princess again? Yes. Will we cruise with Princess in the future? Yes. Read Less

Always wanted to see the Panama Canal. Everything from the embarkation to the disembarkation was excellent. Food and entertainment were great. Cruise director staff were very friendly and professional staff. Excursions were great except for Cartenaga Columbia. Informed excursion staff onboard the ship and they took care of our concerns promptly. Took the shuttle bus to the ft Lauderdale port walked through the terminal and went on to the ship right away. Never even sat down to wait . Our room was great and ready for us to go to right away. All of our meals were Great. Played trivia and game shows pretty much every day. All were great. Our waiter Jesse and junior waitor Shankar were excellent. Always made sure we were taken care of. Disembarking in Vancouver was great considering there were 3 ships in port at same time all getting off. One hour after meeting in our meeting place we on our way home. Would sail with Princess Cruises any time. Never had a problem with them ever. Read Less

I have checked a major item off my bucket list. The Coral Princess is not a large ship but was big enough to accommodate all of our needs. The mini-suite we had was big enough to meet our needs. There are 2 TVs in case there's ever a conflict on what to watch. We had any time dining and always the option to go very informal and visit the Horizon Court for full meals or snacks. The promenade deck was a great for walking or jogging but the wind can be a problem at times. You could also venture to the upper decks for walking as well. The ports of call were all as described and made for some interesting sightseeing excursions. We expected some rain as it was nearing the end of the dry season there but only experienced rain one afternoon and for that we were already on our bus ready to return to the ship. A pleasant surprise for me was the Internet Plan was unlimited for the entire cruise with no restriction on the amount of data you could download. The cruise was mostly populated with seniors with only 2 young boys which made it a very quiet cruise Read Less

We chose this particular cruise, as it was a full Panama Canal Transit. This had been on my husband's Bucket List for many years now and when he retired and we had unlimited "vacation time", I booked it immediately The Coral Princess is a pretty ship, smaller in size and has everything one needs. I will admit it is looking a bit worn, but kept immaculately clean. The public areas were decorated very nicely and all the seating was very comfortable. Be sure if you want to attend an event or one of the larger production shows, you get into the venue 45-60 min before show time. Usually there are things going on prior to the event in the same venue and a lot of people just stay. Getting a table in the Card Room was difficult at times, but we managed to ask people that were "saving" multiple tables to give one of them up. Many of the tables lift sides were in sad condition and one had to "work" on them to get them to stay up in place. One thing I did notice, is that our mini-suite balcony had quite a bit of rust on the metal parts of the ship and the patio furniture desperately needed to be replaced, It was usable but stained and faded. Plus I hated those plastic tiles that are laid down on the decking, like walking on Lego's! The banister railing had been recently varnished. The inside of our cabin was nice and very clean. Thanks Boylin, for taking good care of us! Some of the minor enhancements that could be looked at are, replacing or re-stretching the carpet, updating the old pictures, retiling the bathrooms. All of the previous items are cosmetic and did not effect my cruise. My biggest complaint was those small TV's with such limited programing to watch!! I know I am not on a cruise to watch TV, but I am a night owl and like to do so after the evening events have wound down!! I guess I was totally spoiled on the Royal Princess that have 50" TVs with On Demand programming!! Oh, the beds are to die for!! No, none, nada, complaints there!! The food and service was really good. In the main dining rooms it was a bit slow, as it seems like they had several new crew and the main waiter and helpers were getting to know each other? The food in Horizon Court was fabulous. I have never had such great tasting breads, meats, and gravies. Not to mention the absolutely fabulous desserts at least 8-10 to choose from, plus the most delicious tasting cookies ever! Try the Peanut Butter they are to die for!! Say hi to Carlos for me! We were on first name basis. Over all the cruise was wonderful. We met so many awesome people, several of which we will keep in contact with! If you are thinking of this itineray, do it! Read Less

We took this cruise because it was on her bucket list, also to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. You won’t be disappointed. Everyone on the ship very friendly. Food was just mediocre not much of variety. What is the price with the food not normal for a princess. Overall everything was great. Embarkation and disemabarkation went smoothly. The ship is smaller than and older, heard that it was going into dry dock in January. There was a great variety of shore excursions. Something for everyone. Cabin was great, was upgraded to club class. The bed was very uncomfortable, was nothing like what was discribed on the website. The pillows way too soft. We asked for abit firmer pillows but, they said they didn’t have firm ones on the ship anymore. Guess we will have to pack our own. Overall I recommend that EVERYONE should experience panama canal at least once. Read Less

We love this relatively small ship, with a more intimate atmosphere, friendly staff and lack of queues everywhere. The cabin was very well maintained, with a comfortable bed. We travelled as a couple and noticed that there were very few children on board. We found the food to be of a very good standard; with the two fine dining restaurants good value; we preferred Bayou to Sabitini's. This is the second time we have sailed this particular cruise, and we enjoyed it as much this time. There is a very good balance of ports of call and sea days. We took Princess shore excursions for all ports, except Aruba (we decided we just wanted to stroll around the nice port area this time), and were happy with the majority. Ocho Rios was our favourite because of the friendliness of the tour guides and the beautiful scenery. Costa Rica was an interesting place and very good for spotting animals such as sloths, monkeys, birds, etc. in their natural habitat I was quite ill with a migraine on embarkation day, and we were touched by the kindness of all the staff we encountered during the process. The entire cruise from embarkation to disembarkation was truly amazing. The Ship is great, our cabin was terrific, Club Class is wonderful and the entertainment was very enjoyable. The Princess singers and dancers are extremely talented. The Panama Canal is truly a marvel of engineering and standing just under the bridge as you enter the Canal gives you such a feeling of amazement you will not believe it. The service on this ship is incredible. From Sabatini's to our Dining Room our Head Waiters, Waiters and Assistant Waiters were more that excellent. The food was excellent and the selection of specials was good. In Club Class the Head Waiter Petros was amazing. He cooked different specials nightly. He and the Club Class Waiters and Assistant Waiters always made dinner extra special. If you like trains the Panama Canal Train Excursion is a must do. The Coral Princess is an older ship, but she is a good ship. Needs a little TLC in some places but the feeling of Coming Back New is truly a good feeling on this cruise. Happy Crusing. Read Less

Some friends from our church were going on this cruise and invited us to tag along. It looked inviting. Since it was our first cruise, we were a little unsure. But overall, it turned out to be an excellent adventure. No problems with sea sickness. There was plenty of time Onboard for resting, playing games, swimming, watching movies, or just "taking a walk." Thank you for making our first cruise a memorable one. The flowers for our anniversary that we ordered were beautifully done. They staying fresh for the rest of the trip. Maybe next time, we could get the flowers at the beginning of the trip and be able to enjoy them longer. Loved that the dining room staff provided us with a delicious cake and singing and for the lovely, thoughtful card that came with it. Took a little while to get used to the elevators (since some of them didn't go all the way up and down). Read Less

Great first cruise! Port Everglades is a very short distance from Ft Lauderdale airport which was nice. Everything went smoothly throughout the cruise with no major hick ups. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the trip. For its age compared to other ships it was in great condition and nicely decorated. Some rust spots but I don't think it was that bad given that the ship is constantly out on the water. The crew was also seen painting and varnishing on certain days while at sea which seemed a little strange and could have been done while in port. Port visits were great and disembarking was well organized, however the time spent on shore was very short in my opinion. Specially in larger cities such as Cartagena and Panama City. The onboard entertainment in the evening was top notch in my opinion. There was great variety of shows from night to night. Would definitely go again in hear beat! Read Less

We have been on different cruise ships and by far this was the best in everything. The food was top notch, the service, the entertainment, everything went real smoothly, no wait for anything. We had the best time and the best of everything. The excursions were great also. We had plenty of time in each port to shop or sightsee. This was the first time we ever had an inside cabin and we chose it because the price was right and it was great. My husband thought he would be claustrophobic but the wasn't at all. In the past we usually have a balcony but this worked out good. Large closet for all our stuff, everything we needed. I mean how much time do you spend in your room really. I wasn't looking forward to the disembarkment but it went so smoothly. No wait at all. No lines. Picked up our luggage showed our passports and out the door. And the same when we got on the ship....no lines a all. We left on March 31, 2018 and got back on April 10. We're sold. Next year for sure we are sailing with Princess. Read Less

After a 4 hour drive from New Smyrna Beach to Port Everglades my best friend Pat and I sailed through check in and were actually in our cabin by 11:45 a.m. We parked in the Pier 2 garage for security and convenience. Our favorite ship activities included Zumba, line dancing, deck parties (I won champagne), walking the true promenade deck and relaxing in hot tubs and pools. There was plenty of great entertainment too. Tops on our list were John Bressler, Andrew John Diessner, production show On the Bayou, Dancing with the Princess Stars and The Voice of the Ocean. The cruise director’s staff included some very entertaining young people including Yris, Chris, Kiki and Emily. The skit they performed at the crew talent show was a riot! We enjoyed one tour and numerous dinners and shows with our new cruise critic friends LaDonna, Darryl, Lisa and Bill. Meeting them made this trip so much more fun! One highlight of this cruise was being invited to the most traveled passenger lunch for the 1st time. We enjoyed our table mates and thought the food was the best we had on the entire trip. Our shore excursions were: Aruba: Princess Catamaran Snorkeling-really enjoyed exploring the Antilla shipwreck, followed by music and rum punch on the return trip. Cartagena, Columbia: We beat the crowds by arranging a tour for 6 with Dora the Explorer. We went up to the top of the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas fort, visited the old town, shopped for coffee and emeralds and visited La Popa Monastery. I highly recommend this friendly and knowledgeable guide. Limon, Costa Rica: We booked the Tortuguero Canal Tour with Eduardo of Your Lucky Tour. We enjoyed the canal tour, fruit market and our lunch at the Red Snapper of jerk chicken, rice and beans, salad and fried plantains. On the way back to the ship we stopped at a grocery store for the best prices on coffee. Grand Cayman: We liked the Princess bike excursion to the Turtle Center and Hell. The ride was 7 ½ miles which was long enough in the heat. Afterwards we were ready for a Caybrew at Cayman Cabana. We tried the Oxtail Nachos which were fantastic. We put down a future cruise deposit and will look forward to our next Girls cruise! Read Less

We chose this cruise for a fiftieth wedding anniversary present and included our children and spouses. From embarkation to disembarkation the trip was spectacular. The crew, including wait staff, stewards, bar tenders, etc were excellent. The moment we arrived at out room there were balloons, congratulatory signs and good wishes. In our room were banners, mobiles and “towel sculptures” of beautiful swans! We also had singing and cards etc from Princess. The excursions: the National Aviary of Columbia, the riverboat ride in Costa Rica, and the trip into Gatun Lake where we observed the locks, were all informative and educational besides being loads of fun. We toured the small ports in Aruba and Grand Cayman, shopped and ate. Those activities are always enjoyable, too! The food on the Coral Princess is outstanding. We usually ate at the huge buffet for breakfast, lunch was sometimes there or in one of the restaurants, and dinner was in the Providence dining room. The wait staff entertained and served us well - they were great. This is our second cruise on Princess and we will be back when we can get our family together. It truly was a wonderful wedding anniversary! Thank you, Princess! You haven’t disappointed us! Read Less

This cruise fulfilled a number of my travel criteria: Check off a bucket list item-Done Go places I have never been before-Done Eat in restaurants that I can't find at home-Done Experiencing the Panama Canal was definitely on the bucket list. Experiencing it on the Coral Princess was icing on the cake! Even before we got to Florida, Princess was taking care of us. About a week prior to departure, Princess asked us to "move over" from our reserved mini-suite cabin to a balcony cabin; in exchange they would refund a substantial portion of our cruise fare. Yes, please! Embarkation was a breeze-we walked into our cabin less than an hour after arriving at the port terminal. The ship was beautiful; the public spaces well maintained and our cabin was spacious enough for us, despite the tiny bathroom (we didn't realize how much we appreciated the larger shower in the mini-suite until we didn't have it!). Plenty of closet space for 10 days worth of clothes for two people, too. We chose late sitting traditional dining (another "traditional" dining room offers Anytime Dining and, of course, the Horizon Court offers buffet style dining) The wait staff in the Provence dining room were attentive and talented (be sure to have Mark sing to you for your special occasion). As you would expect, the food was plentiful and delicious. We loved attending the enrichment lectures about the port and about the Canal itself. The onboard port specialist was very knowledgeable about the history of the Canal. The highlight for us was being on the ship as it traversed the Gatun Locks and watching other ships go through them as well. What a sight that was! We choose Princess because their pricing is fair, their Future Cruise program is very nice, and they offer onboard credits to active duty military and veterans. With both of us being veterans, this benefit will usually cover the cost of one shore excursion for us. Read Less

There wasn't much to see at Limon in Costa Rica but the excursion to the rain forest was a great experience. We didn't stop in Jamaica due to bad weather. The shows and entertainment on the ship were also very good. The pool was a little cold and it was fresh water, not salt water like the other ships. The casino is a little small. My husband had always wanted to see the workings of the Panama Canal! It was an item on his bucket list. The Coral Princess is a lovely ship - we loved the formal dining and met some great new people onboard. We did the full passage of the Panama Canal on an excursion on a smaller ship. We were able to see the workings of the canal and learn more about the history and function. If you are looking for something for everyone, probably not the cruise for you. It was definitely an older group with few children and young adults. Food was great and the room was very comfortable. We had a mini-suite without a balcony. We found that we really liked the additional space. The entertainment could not compete with some larger ships that we have sailed on, but enjoyable and creative. Nightly movies under the stars were very fun! Very friendly and attentive staff. A pleasant surprise was in Cartegena - a great nature park right at the port! The onboard entertainment was so much fun. We liked having recent movies running at the theaters and on the TV channels. The dining room staff were GREAT. Another place to have fun and to try something new. We appreciated having the option for standard foods like chicken, Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail as well as food selections of the Caribbean region and those we may not have tried before. The desserts were on so rich and decadent. We really liked the option of a small after dinner drink in a souvenir glass. We love having a cabin with a balcony. Great place to start the day, view the port, a place to sip your first cup of coffee and relax before Dinner. We were unable to visit Jamaica because of high winds. We give high praise to the Captain for putting our safety FIRST. Of course we were disappointed but the entertainment department stepped up to the challenge and added more things to do on the ship. Choose this cruise for both destinations and relaxing sea days. There were ten of us on this cruise— some with prior cruises and some first timers. Expectations also varied. The ship isn’t new but is well maintained and every bit of it was elegant. The cabins — both balcony rooms and mini suites — were roomy, clean, comfortable and exactly as the were presented by Princess. Embarkation was efficient and super fast. Our cabins were ready when we boarded and our luggage arrived shortly after we did! We ate in the buffet — delicious, presented well, kept replenished constantly and very fresh. To enter the buffet, you needed to either wash your hands at stations just outside or you had to use the antibacterial gel. The staff did everything they could to keep us healthy. We were given a fantastic oval table for ten in Provence Diningroom — which was in a perfect location and large enough for all of us and yet narrow enough for us to converse. And we had the best wait staff we have ever had anywhere — Willy who was starting his 26th year with a Princess and was a combination of efficiency, humor and by the end of the first night he knew all our names (regardless of where else we might see him). Richard assisted him and was excellent. The food was superb and the presentation was wonderful. And if we asked if they had something not on the menu — pistachio ice cream — it appeared. We ate one evening in Sabatini’s — the food was excellent and the desserts were not only good but presentation was dramatic. Many afternoons we had a snack in the International Cafe and were never disappointed. Nothing on the ship was a disappointment— the ship, the crew, the staff and the activities. The Panama canal was on our bucket list and there are not a lot of cruise lines that offer this cruise. The canal is awesome and such a marvel to see and go through, and the ship was nice, but nothing special. We were very disappointed that during our early morning hours (7am) venture through the canal we were standing at the back of the ship in the Sanctuary to take pictures of the canal and even though that "overly priced specialty pampering" was not to open for another hour we were run off and not allowed to even stand there to take pictures. We weren't lounging or doing anything other than taking what was historical pictures for us, but the staff would not allow us to remain there. Such a disappointment, going that whole way to observe such a fantastic happening, but not even allowed to stand and take pictures. If other cruise lines offered passage through the canal I would certainly look into them and find out what strict policies they have in place for events like viewing the canal. I also wish the ship didn't automatically give you a straw EVERY time they deliver your drink to you. The plastic waste these days is awful and in our case, this was a total waste every time they gave us one. All they have to do is ask if we want one. Santorini's was not good this time. We had eaten there years ago on another cruise, but Olive Garden has better quality food than this one did this time. Not the captain's fault, but we were disappointed we missed Jamaica, it was too windy to port, that was going to be our one beach day. Read Less

We loved going through the Panama Canal. Unfortunately, our cruise got off to a bad start by not getting a cabin assignment until two days before departure, so we were already stressed about whether we would even have a cabin as we left home (we booked the cruise three months before and had to accept a GTY booking). Our cabin was in a bad location - not one we would have chosen, with someone else's name on the door, and no recognition of the fact that the cruise was a birthday cruise for us. The ship is old, with a lot a rust showing. Although we saw crew painting over rust spots, there were many more less-accessible spots that highlight the ship's age. Probably because of its age, the ship probably doesn't have the stabilization of newer ships. We definitely had a bumpier ride than we are used to. Our cabin was small, with no sofa, unlike other ships' "small" cabins. Our balcony door was badly corroded with holes in the frame and with weather seal missing. On our first night, cruising into strong headwinds, there was such a loud whistle coming from the door that we couldn't sleep. We reported it the following day and a mechanic stuck some plastic seal around the frame, which looked very temporary (he said he had done the same to 6 other cabins that day!). The shower was the smallest we have had on any of our 15 cruises. In hindsight, I think we should have booked a premium balcony cabin, which is bigger. Although the main dining food was better than most ships, service was the worst we have ever experienced. Our waitress rushed the food service. On the first night we didn't get our wine until after the main course had been delivered (with excuses that the barman was backed up because he was on his own). On the second night I refused to order the food until I had ordered wine, and still received the appetizer before our wine. I complained to the Maitre D and, although we received our wine before our meal for the rest of thre cruise (by mostly ordering wine each evening for the following day, without knowing what would be on the menu), the waitress' attitude was unfriendly. The process of ordering wine a day early led to a mistake where we were charged one day for a bottle that was covered by our wine package, and it took 3 visits to passenger services to get the $42 charge removed. In general, we found the crew less respectful to passengers than other cruiselines. For instance, buffet waiters would stand around chatting at the coffee station obstructing passenger access. Also, several times two crew members would be walking side-by-side and expect us to step aside for them. I believe this lack of customer consideration starts at the top. Our Captain was pretty much MIA for the entire two weeks. We saw him once, but he didn't show up for the Captain's reception, and we never heard any announcements from him - they always came from the First Officer or the Cruise Director. Likewise, our cabin steward was the unfriendliest we have ever had. I think Princess needs to do some passenger sensitivity training on this ship. Ship excursions were in line with other cruise ships. We especially like Nigaragua, but stops in Aruba, Colombia and Cabo San Lucas were far too short (you spend all that money for visits to countries you haven't been to before and you get 5 hours!!) Another example of the ship showing its age was the fact that two of the four ship's tenders (lifeboats) used in Nigaragua broke down towards the end of the day as passengers were returning to the ship. When our tour bus returned from our excursion, we had to sit on the bus for 45 minutes because there were too many passengers already standing on the pier waiting for tenders. Entertainment was on par with other ships. We liked the singers and dancers, but they only performed three times during the 15 day cruise. Read Less

The pizza was wonderful, ice cream - not so good. The Horizon buffet food was mostly good. The gym is on the small size with no stationary bikes unless you want to play a game while pedaling. We never heard any announcements on the depth of the ocean, etc.. better communication on leaving ship for excursions would have been nice. They had great movies. The entertainment was pretty good. The comedians on the nasty side. The beds are very comfortable and the staff is mostly wonderful. It was a wonderful cruise. Out of all of the countries we visited, we were surprised at the friendliness and kindness of the people in Columbia the most. This is also the first cruise that we had seen so many dolphins and turtles on the Pacific side along with a few whales. Memories we will cherish forever. Read Less

This was our 12th cruise with Princess and very disappointing. Why ? well a principle reason for cruising is the dining and can only give the food on the Coral as "poor" it was over salted, over cooked and unappetising. We tried the "Anytime Dining" and as an example probably the best meal was the last - New York Strip only that after the 1st course the waiters disappeared (for the Baked Alaska parade0 and the "applause for the Chefs - meanwhile we were looking at empty tables and had to wait some 25 minutes for the main courses to arrive. Buffet in the Horizon was limited, apart from the omelettes at breakfast resulted in having corn flakes with fruit - hardly top notch dining ! There were banana's at the buffet that after 5 days or so were "black" and they stayed on display for the whole cruise. Poor ! especially when we docked in Puerto Rico - the banana capital of the world - surely someone could have nipped ashore and bought a box of bananas! The only saving grace were the ships staff, from steward(ess) to bar/entertainment who were all magnificent. Cabin kept spotless. 5 ports in 15 days - and early departures. Aruba at 12.30 and last tender at San Juan at 3.30 - then had to wait till 7.00 pm before ship departed ! a more reasonable 5.00 last tender would have been reasonable (or saving $$ on fuel !) Princess seem to be "cutting back" on many small items, eg end dates on coffee cards, have to ask for shower cap from steward, no longer provide shower gel, conditioner, lotion in Spa containers - the big bottle dispenser shower gel is terrible - sourced from Poundland ? Shore Excursions - took 2, Cartagena and Costa Rica - the "scenic train and boat ride" at $100 pp expensive and train not very scenic - back yards of razor wire infested slums. Overall disappointed - ums up by fact wife lost 6lbs 1 not very good advert ! Come back new - yes indeed Read Less
