We decided on Celebrity Summit because we wanted a higher end cruise with fewer children. We decided to go Suite Class and it was worth every penny. From the time we arrived at Port to the time we left, we were treated first class. We got to bypass all the lines and had a personal Butler and Concerige that were so awesome and helpful. Everyone on the ship knows what customer service is all about. ...
We were informed from a co-worker about Celebrity Cruises (which we'd never hear of) and after talking we decided to give it a go. The atmosphere was very relaxing, there were employees everywhere and would assist in any questions that we had. When we had an issue with the shower not getting hot water, our room attendant had maintenance there and they swapped out the shower faucet while we were ...
I chose the cruise for the itinerary; just good fortune that it was on the Summit. Four nights, 2 stops: Bahamas and Key West. I really wanted to go to Key West; Bahamas I've been to before. Key West is, in a word, Bohemian. Colorful, shop after shop, restaurants galore of various quality with historic places of interest and museums here and there. Interesting characters hanging about (one ...
Chose this as a short getaway break from the winter and cold. The Nassau stop was not important and we were only off the ship for a short time. Key West is always fun and we have friends there. Having been on the Infinity for a Panama cruise I already knew I would like the layout and size of Summit and I was not disappointed. Nice group of cruisers mostly our age and very few children on board ...
I needed to get out of town for a couple of days and this cruise was the perfect opportunity to enjoy a couple of nights of spoiled adventure. I chose the Royal Suite, however, I was upgraded to the Penthouse suite the night before the cruise. Amazing! The room was absolutely everything I could hope for. Lots of space and room to relax, the balcony was 1000 square feet with a bath tub. We ...
This was our third cruise on the Summit, second in Summit Aqua, and first with an aft balcony. We were very happily lazy, enjoying every moment just hanging out. Here's the details:
Embarkation was efficient and smooth. The 5th floor Al Bacio coffee spot was a comfortable place to wait for our room to be ready that first day.
Our cabin, 1130, was Aqua class with an aft balcony, and we loved ...
We sailed on Summit in February 2018. The itinerary was not particularly interesting, especially the Bahamas stop on day two. I have always found it to be a "why bother" port. There were also scheduled stops in Punta Cana (which was switched for San Juan at the last minute due to weather making tendering not possible). San Juan is another port I find boring. The only other port of call was St. ...
We drove down to Fort Lauderdale the day before the cruise and stayed at Embassy Suites. We enjoyed the large two-room suite and manager's evening reception with drinks and snacks. The short drive to Port Everglades was unfortunately prolonged an additional 30-minutes because our Garmin GPS kept sending on a wild goose chase through a shopping center rather than the road to Port Everglades. ...
Great cruise. Better clientele than the base cruise lines.
Mid- sized ship showing her age a bit. Great food and service.
Would book this ship or similar class ship again. The crew were very
Friendly and hardworking people. We have been on many cruises and
I think this ranks among the best. We have already book another cruise
Later this year on a sister ship. I prefer the mid-sized ...
The Celebrity Summit is great cruise ship. It is very easy to move about the ship. The food was fabulous. We do not buy into the extra dining experiences we choose to eat what is included. If you like cooked to order, steak, fish, pork chops, hamburgers and even hot dogs go to the back of the Oceans dining and you can have it all. Each night they had an extra cook to order we had Salmon, and Prime ...
