Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

If it wasn't for seniors (60 and above ) half the fine restaurants in the USA would go out of business in a week. Also 1/2 the cruise ships would be scrapped within a year. Seniors have the money and the time to travel at any time of the year. We have been on 4 Celebrity cruises and have no complaints, food was good to excellent , cabin and room attendants were superb. Embarking ( 20 minutes at ...

Great experience aboard the Solstice

Returning from the Caribbean just a week ago now, I find I'm longing for an excuse to book our next cruise aboard the Solstice! Our third cruise in 18 months, we finally made the jump from Royal Caribbean to Celebrity, and found it met all of our expectations. A little background: We're two friends from college, both in our early 30's, and while we're always mistaken for a couple, we've found ...

After two satisfying cruises with Princess, I was looking to try a different cruise-line. Our experience on Celebrity Solstice was very comparable to Princess. Parking and boarding in Ft Lauderdale is simple and went smoothly. I parked at Park n Go and was on the ship within 40 minutes or so. Our 2 pieces of luggage arrived at our room before late dining. With some effort, I was able to get a ...

We've been fortunate to have a great cruise experience on each of our 3 cruises. However, Celebrity seemed to offer a high class of service and provided a much more relaxed experience that either Royal or Disney. Maybe it's just because we are getting older and aren't looking for a party on our vacations? But even our 11 year old son thought that this cruise topped them all. The ship was ...

My partner and I, both in our early 40's, cruised on the Celebrity Solstice from April 1-8, 2012 (and as a gift to them we brought our mother's with us). This was our second cruise with Celebrity, having cruised in January of this year on the Celebrity Eclipse. We were won over when we cruised on the Eclipse and were equally impressed with the Solstice. Celebrity gets it right - from the beauty ...

My family of 6 cruises frequently to Caribbean and more recently European ports. After achieving Diamond status last year, we decided to try Celebrity again after 14 years of focusing on our (at the time) small children. We loved Royal Caribbean but were tiring of the same menu year after year; and we had enough bruises from the Flowrider for awhile :) Embarkation in Fort Lauderdale was easy, ...

Celebrity Solstice Cruise - Another Wonderful Experience

We travelled to Miami with Virgin booked via Celebrity and managed to get seats on the Upper Deck by amending/confirming our booking online 24 hours prior to departure. The flight passed without incident and we passed through Customs within 15 minutes of arrival as by chance they opened a few more Customs booths as we walked into the hall, however we then waited over 45 minutes for our bags, we ...

Ventured into the Western Caribbean last week aboard Solstice. Beautiful ship. Only minor hangup (and it was very minor) was lack of deck chairs for days at sea. But will over 2000 passengers it was not to be unexpected. Ports (Georgetown, Grand Cayman;Cozumel;Roatan;Costa Maya) were all great. Lots to do in each. One thing....if you have never been, the ship docks in Cozumel but everything ...

PERSONAL-- I am mid-50s and traveled alone on this cruise. I have cruised quite a bit, and appreciate Celebrity's style. EMBARCATION-- The lines moved, the staff was courteous, and I was on board in matter of minutes. Since I arrived around 1:30 PM, I was able to drop my carry-on in my cabin and head up for a buffet lunch. Flawless! SHIP OVERALL-- I had sailed on the Solstice before, and ...

Solstice - a second week of bliss...

Having just come iff the Eclipse, our second week aboard the Celebrity fleet was spontaneous, unexpected and unplanned thanks to a fortunate turn of events. this time aboard the Eclipse's older sister the Solstice. Very much her twin, the only significant differences were in minor details such as the color of the chair pads by the pool, however, her layout and feel is identical and every bit as ...
