This was our sixth and longest cruise. We’ve cruised Princess, MSC, Carnival and The Red Boat. This was our first cruise on Celebrity Infinity and probably our last. We cruised with three other couples and chose Celebrity primarily based on the transit of the Panama Canal destination and sailing date. None of us sailed Celebrity before. We also used an agent who books with Celebrity and booked ...
We cruise primarily for the destinations and different experiences. The ship is very nicely laid out and there is plenty of space and things to do for the numbers on board but it is starting to show its age. Cleanliness and sanitization was good, much better than on Carnival Liberty we had just back-to-backed. Balcony cabin 6036 starboard was OK, quiet and clean but showing wear and tear, well ...
We booked this cruise for the itinerary, especially the Panama Canal. This was our 6th cruise with Celebrity. As usual, the ship's personnel provided excellent service and were very friendly. The ship itself, however, was showing its age, it was certainly a very tired ship with peeling paint inside and out, ceiling leaks, sloppy bathrooms, closed public bathrooms that were often under repair ...
This cruise catered to the retired folks so if you are retired and enjoy oldies music and a slower pace this cruise is for you!! My husband and I are in our early 40's and we took this cruise to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We have done several other cruises and this one ranks near the bottom of our list. Felt very "nickeled and dimed" - everything extra came at a cost (ie. no iron ...
Check-in took two and a half hours of standing in lines... a total mess! Celebrity did not even offer water, a place to sit (or an apology) for this agonizing wait.
The ship itself appeared to be in good condition and the service was good.
There was a constant parade of 'up selling' restaurant, internet and other services. It felt more like being in an endless timeshare sales pitch!
The ...
The cost of the cruise was fine, but there are endless (Expensive) extras. 2 coffee's will cost $12. One bottle of wine for dinner for each day of the cruise will cost $600. An hour's internet $50. etc etc....Fresh orange juice for breakfast is optional....and not cheap! The push for taking 'extras' is never ending and is a little annoying.
Back to Azamara for us: its more expensive, but there ...
We chose this ship because we wanted to do the Panama Canal crossing and the timing and price was right.
Overall the ship is good. The cabins are roomy enough, have enough closet space, etc. The Cruise Director was great...plenty of activity if you desired.
The entertainment was very good in the evenings as well as during the day. The ship has a lot of stuff going on all day.
The guest ...
The Panama Canal did not disappoint. The ports and excursions were fine.
I thought the food was average overall, albeit slightly better in the dining room than buffet. The buffet had no traffic flow - eggs there, omelets there, pancakes hidden some where else.
Food service seemed desultory to me. Service was better in the days when gratuities went directly to your waiter. Now, with tips ...
Having cruised on the Infinity’s sister ship, the Summit, in 2014, I expected an awesome time, and didn’t really anticipate any major surprises when I boarded the Infinity for a 15-day Panama Canal cruise. However, there were some – the new Roof Top Terrace, Blu, and a lot more sea days.
THE GOOD
We decided to try Aqua Class this time, and our cabin (9131) was in great shape and perfectly ...
We are a fan of Celebrity Cruises and we were looking forward to our Panama canal to Valparaiso, Chile. 15 day cruise.
Honestly we were very dissppointed, this cruise on our estimate was nothing like our previous cruises on Celebrity.
We had been on the Millenium a few years ago and really enjoyed it, but the Infinity even it had gone through a refurbishment was not up to par, on some ...
