We have only sailed with Celebrity Cruises (6 in the last 10 years). It’s sad to see that post-Covid, despite investing in refurbishing their ships, they’ve taken away some of the things that made it a 5-star experience.
No longer are you greeted with champagne or a mimosa on entry. In AquaClass rooms, no more daily tea, fruit or canapés. I’m told that’s for concierge class now but AquaClass ...
The Pros: Fun activities. Not over the top. The Food was good but seemed the same over and over. (see cons). Baha Mar in Nassau was an easy and very good excursion. Try to get it on sale. Entertainment was beyond excellent!!!!!!!! All employees FABULOUS! Our embarkation was easy because we got there about 2:30.
Cons: Dingy towels-smelled clean but looked gross. Towels are an easy fix. The room ...
Celebrity cruises are not a premium or 5 star line despite what they try to claim. Having many cruises since the late seventies, aboard many different lines and ships, I can honestly state that today Celebrity is just another mass market line hiding behind their old reputation. First off, if you smoke do not even think of sailing with them, unless you enjoy being treated like a third world ...
I’m too late submitting my review to Celebrity, so I thought I’d post here. I took my first Celebrity Cruise this month (Dec ‘23) and I had preconceived notions it would be classy, if not a bit too much. I found the ship to be a smaller, lovely, dated ship, with plenty of fun and relaxation. There was ample things to do or not do, depending on your mood.
My biggest disappointment that will ...
This was the second time on Celebrity and definitely the last. We chose this line because of the date and the itinerary to ABC islands. We booked into the RETREAT due to my husband's disabilities and were very disappointed. We had hoped for more easy access to the Retreat lounge, dining room and sundeck but we had to wait for long periods of time waiting for elevators that were empty enough to ...
I have been on several cruises, mostly with Royal Caribbean but one prior Celebrity cruise eight years ago. The difference between that pervious Celebrity cruise and this one is noteworthy.
This sailing left from Port Everglades, logistics and parking were typical and if you filled out all the documents and requests prior to embarkation day, it’s extremely quick. It’s worth the time to submit ...
Over all the ship was wonderful. Lot of activities and great staff. However I was very disappointed in the main dining room. The meals were very mundane. The menu was very sparse and nothing exciting as in previous cruises on other ships. If you wanted anything exciting or a good steak they charged extra for that or a lobster tail. Even Captain's night was very lacking. I thought the chef would ...
Our reason to cruise Celebrity was that we have previously had a good experience with Celebrity and the ports were fun places.
Unfortunately, lots of disappointment. We hold Elite status in Celebrity and Diamond Plus on RCCL, with about 30 cruises overall. Let’s start with the app…. It did not work for the safety briefing! Cut backs in bar staff is very poor business decision. We waited ...
Chose ship for itinerary and heard good things. Crowd was tame. Very few children. Used to more rowdy crowd, so this was nice. Dining room choices very bland. Not much fish offered. Desserts were lousy. Only good desserts were cheese cake. Desserts in buffet missed the mark every time!!! Carrot cake tried 3 times, where was the cream cheese in the frosting?? Chocolate dessert in dining room only ...
Just back from our first trip with celebrity on the equinox. Our veranda room was ok, but we were right above a smoking area which wasn’t great. The AC in the room wasn’t good but if you don’t mind sweating for the first 3 hours of bed it gets “cool” at some point. Shows were great. Staff for the most part were great. Buffet and bars, good. Lots of places to find a spot to grab a drink and relax. ...
