My wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary, brought in 2011, enjoyed the college bowl games and visited 3 amazing islands along the way. This was our third cruise and second with Carnival. We chose Carnival because the atmosphere (for us) on Carnival truly is FUN and relaxing. In addition, the cost of this cruise compared to other New Year cruises was very affordable. After getting ...

So we had been thinking about taking a cruise for a long time and finally decided to pull the trigger and actually go when we found a New Years cruise on the Carnival Miracle for a reasonable price that went to some exotic Southern Caribbean ports- St. Martin, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts. There are three of us, my wife and I as well as our 8 year old son. Overall we had an incredible time and would ...

Boarding the ship VIP went very smooth, we were on boat within 30 min. VIP lounge offered cookies and fruit punch. Some people were sneaking in VIP line and staff was allowing them to proceed. The regular line to board boat was very long. Dinner was average. Bar service was terrible, some nights we did not get served drinks. Service was average. Food was below average. My family made many trips to ...

This is the first time cruising on Carnival and the Carnival Miracle. Worst cruise I have taken yet. We had a first time cruiser with us and if it were not for talking to other passengers on board this would have been her last one too. The goods things were Tony Ray. life saver in the Gotham lounge. Thanks Tony for making a bad time tolerable. Other than that the food had no variety in the ...

We booked this trip directly with a Carnival Vacation Planer due to the fact that we needed to book side by side cabins. Embarkment was smooth as usual and we were on the ship within an hour. Our cabins were on the Panorama deck and had an extended balcony which was very nice. Since we were directly under the Lido deck there was some noise coming from the chairs moving around. The cabins are ...

Boarding the ship was first rate. We sailed through the boarding process in less than an hour from start to finish. our room was clean as was the rest of the ship, however the Miracle does need some updating on furnishings, mattress', furniture in the public areas were quite worn. The ship is easy to get around on, the pools small, outside decks wide and easy to get around ...

We had our itinerary and Mother Nature had hers.

INTRO: The scheduled itinerary was 2 sea days, St Maarten, St Lucia, St Kitts and then 2 sea days. Reality was 2 sea days, St Maarten and then Hurricane Tomas. Carnival did a great job of keeping us from most of the storm and still getting us two great ports of call (Grand Turk, Nassau). Not everybody was satisfied but you have to put safety first and can't mess with Mother ...

I have found that Carnival ships run hot and cold. I have been on many more than once but I have sailed the Ecstasy, Imagination, Sensation, Destiny, Valor, Triumph, Victory, Paradise, Pride, Glory and now the Miracle. I will begin by saying I really like the layout of this class of ship. Everything was easy to get to. Embarkation was Ft. Lauderdale. I was happy because we live in the Ft. ...

To celebrate my mom's 70th birthday, she and my dad took me, my wife and our five kids on the Carnival Miracle. We arrived in South Florida two days early and spent the time with my inlaws. My parents stayed at the Days Inn Thunderbird in Sunny Isles Beach. The beach there is disgusting and dirty - it was a little better at the beach in front of the Turnberry Ocean Club, but we should have gone up ...

Introducing the players... there's me and my wonderful husband Greg (I've cruised four times and this is his second... I tend to take the pictures and blog, and he kindly lugs my camera gear and is happily paid in beer)... there's my pal Nic (this is our third cruise together) and her mom (who celebrated a birthday on board)... and my sis Mel (who was on a first name basis with the entire bar ...
