This was my 16 cruise on Carnival, second time on the Valor. I went Platinum three cruises ago. Each year my husband, brother and I take our families on a cruise, usually in February. This year I took 11 family members and we had 4 suites...and was so disappointed with what seems to be a continued lowering of Carnival's standards. Specifically- my travel agent was very specific about connecting ...

Cruising in the summer. Never did we think we would take a cruise during the summer months. Being from Michigan, the summers are the best time of the year. But cruise during the summer we did. The weather was hot, hoter, hotest. There was never any let-up with the heat. But we loved it. It was shorts, bathing suits, and shorts again. Not a cloud in the sky. Cruising during the ...

I will only reflect on my experience and comment on the trends I have read from other reviews so hopefully it will be helpful for others. We could not find a cheap airfare from Detroit to Miami so we came into Ft Lauderdale a couple of days early. That worked great with a transfer service by SAS (www.ridesas.com) $15 PP. They are professional and the series of drivers have the ports down pat. The ...

We decided to go with CCL because it is quite cheap, great choice when travelling with kids and we liked this itinerary. We booked well in advance, about 10 months before sail date. We originally booked through Carnival, but found a bit of a savings online within 24 hours and moved our booking with them. I soon realized this was a bad move once it was made. For the $300 that I saved, I received ...

Where do I start? This was a much anticipated and well planned out family vacation. We have cruised numerous times before on most all of the major lines. This was to say the least, the worst experience we have had. Save yourself the vacation time and hard earned money and choose something else. Carnival couldn't get me back on one of their ships for free! With that said let me explain why. ...

We had a wonderful time on the Valor. The itinerary was fantastic and the ship was great. We both have cruised many times on many other lines and we were ready to go and have fun and party with the best of them, but truthfully this line is not that different from the others that we have sailed. We did not see anyone hanging off of their balconies or getting drunk and crazy it was just a lot of fun ...
