To celebrate my mom's 70th birthday, she and my dad took me, my wife and our five kids on the Carnival Miracle. We arrived in South Florida two days early and spent the time with my inlaws. My parents stayed at the Days Inn Thunderbird in Sunny Isles Beach. The beach there is disgusting and dirty - it was a little better at the beach in front of the Turnberry Ocean Club, but we should have gone up ...
This will be a somewhat brief review but I hope it helps anyone who might be considering the Carnival Miracle as your first time or repeat cruise experience. Keep in mind that this was OUR experience based on many other points of reference -- but also based on what WE look forward to in a cruise experience. We are 40-50 and could be considered fairly seasonend Cruisers.
Our 8 Day March Cruise on ...
We flew in the day before and stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Ft. Lauderdale. Coming from the Chicagoland area in February, one never knows about the weather and we did not want to take a chance of missing this cruise by flying in the same day.
The hotel was a short walking distawnce from a Bass Pro Shop and attached to that was a restaurant called Ismorelda's. Good seafood and it had a ...
Arrived in Fort Lauderdale the day before sailing and stayed at the Sea Club resort. Weather was wonderful. Tuesday we arrived at the cruiseport at approx. 11am. I took the opportunity to upgrade to a Suite so we had VIP boarding which was very very nice. There is even cookies and juice supplied! At approx. 11:45 we began boarding the ship and headed straight up to the Lido deck for lunch. I also ...
Drove in from Tampa.
Had a great 8 day trip to Panama, Costa Rico, Belize. Embarkation was much better than we expected as the ship was late coming in due to the accident in St. Kitts the week before. We were on board and eating by 1pm. Our luggage was in our room by 2:30. Cabin was great as was our steward. We expected a disaster and was very pleasantly surprised. The Miracle is an easy ship to ...
We have cruised on many ships both small and large and the Miracle is by far the best design to date. The ability to stroll from one end of the ship to the other without having to change floors/decks has been the best idea we have seen thus far. The room was adequate size but the balcony was deep and wide. Very nice for relaxing and watching the world go by. We walked the 9th and 10th decks on ...
This was our 8th Carnival Cruise and as always..we had a blast. Embarkation & disembarkation were the smoothest to date. We were on the Lido deck by 11:30 with a DOD in hand. By 1pm we were in our rooms. Unpacked and at dinner by 6pm. We had an aft room with the bigger balcony. We LOVE the view from the back. We love to be on our balcony when we enter & sail away from the ports. And we like to sit ...
The Carnival Miracle was a nice cruise to be on with some positives and negatives comparing to other cruise lines.
Likes - The ship was extremely clean and we felt the staff was very friendly and nice. Our dining staff was great along with our room stewards. We had a balcony room which was very nice and clean.
Bingo was cheaper on the Miracle to participate in - on other cruise lines it is a ...
As a child, my mother took me on two different Carnival cruises, both of which I hold in estranged memories regarding nothing more than free ice cream and endless soda. The time spent with her was very dear to me, but since I grew up, moved into a self-sustaining artist collective, and established my life as a young, vegan, political activist, I wouldn't exactly consider a Carnival cruise my ideal ...
Well, let's just start off with how immaculate the ship was! Everyday they were cleaning, painting, polishing, sweeping....this ship was the cleanest ship I have ever been on! They had 2 pool attendants mopping the deck everyday, they were like ninjas, the water would hit the deck and instantly disappear...they were great! ....the floors were so shiny and clean...the kids weren't too worried ...
