I have never cruised before so I really didn't know what to expect on my first cruise onboard Carnival Legend. Not sure why we chose Carnival Legend, we didn't really do any research. We just knew what date we want and what destination we preferred. Embarkation: There was a long line when we arrived. It was kinda chaotic but people seemed to be excited, myself included, so the long line and the ...

My husband and I had celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and had finally decided after speaking with other people about cruises, that we would book one. The ease and helpfulness of our agent made it painless. As we are wintering in South Carolina we decided to drive to Ft. Lauderdale to meet the Carnival Legend the day before we were to sail. We stayed at a Comfort Inn just off the #95 and ...

Flew from Ottawa to Toronto, and then on to Fort. Thursday, one day before our cruise. Flight left 35 minutes late but arrived 10 minutes early. Had our luggage, rental car, and was checked in at the Sleep Inn in Dania within an hour and three-quarters. Our room was nice, big, and very clean. Next stop Sawgrass Mills for little shopping and dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Quick stop at ...

My husband and I traveled to Fort Lauderdale a couple of days early and stayed at The Pillars on New River Sound. Exceptional hotel! The extra money for this hotel is so worth it. We came in a couple of days early due to lost luggage on our last cruise in April out of San Juan. What do you know, one of our bags didn't make it in to Ft Lauderdale. If we had been leaving on the cruise that day, we ...

We just returned from an 8-day cruise on the Carnival Legend and it was FANTASTIC! The food in Truffles was world class. The food on the Lido deck was delicious and fresh. We had to use room service often and every time it was fast and fresh. As always, the ice cream was FREE! We had dinner at the Supper Club one night and it was absolutely unbelievable! As with the food in Truffles, we noticed ...

This was our first cruise; Me - 35, DH - 36, DD -10, DD -7. We booked kind of last minute (January for a February sailing). We wanted to visit in laws in Ft Lauderdale for a few days before going on the Legend. Left Newark Airport for Ft Lauderdale on JetBlue. I cannot say enough good things about JetBlue. The flights are almost always on time or early. Our flight this time was supposed to land ...

Boarding was a breeze, we were on the boat in approx. 10 mins., we did have VIP check in but non VIP went through just as quick. We booked the cat 11 because the "professional" review said there was separate dressing area, refrigerators and large closets amongst other things, UNFORTUNATELY none of that was true!!(maybe because we had the corner aft cabin we lost out on other areas but needless to ...

Embarkation-This went very smoothly. We arrived early and had to wait outside the terminal. The line was long, but once they opened the doors, it went very quickly and efficiently. The ship-We boarded the ship at the 2nd deck and walked into the atrium area. Wow, talk about sensory overload! There is so much going on with the dEcor that I thought I would spend the week with a headache. It did ...

We returned from sailing on the Legend on 1/4/06. I will try to give a brief overview. We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale on the 2nd of January, 2 days before sailing. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn - it is a relatively new hotel, very clean and great service. We had a junior suite so there was a separate sitting area with sofa, chair, refrig., microwave and TV. The area with the bed also had a ...

January 4, 2006 Sailed to Western (exotic) Caribbean: Colon, Costa Rica, Belize Legend was actually much better than I thought it would be & I have an upscale taste level, and had expected the worst after reading the other reviews as well as having been on The Glory. Embarkation and debarkation were perfectly normal in my experience -- nothing out of the ordinary -- lines moved quickly. I ...
