An Enjoyable Cruise

There were no real surprises. The ship is nice. For some reason I got easily turned around, going aft when I should have been going forward. Lets start with the really good: the entertainment. Oh my, there was some real talent in the production shows. I enjoyed every one of them. The theatre was laid out nicely and I never had a problem finding a good seat. The other entertainment was pretty good. ...

Another GREAT Carnival Freedom

This is my 11th cruise: 4th Carnival and 2nd on FREEDOM. Embarkation had long lines at 11:30am. There were multiple lines for checking-in. The criteria was not clear how you ended up in the line. The new “Guy’s Burger Joint” was delicious and popular. Having previously sailed on the Freedom, I could not see the “renovations” that took place in the Spring of 2014. The ship is super clean with staff ...

I am back off of the Carnival Freedom and I have nothing to say but great things about this ship and the crew. Embarkation was a breeze and we were on the boat by 11. The boat never felt crowded, and all of the new upgrades work well. The food in the dining rooms was much better than on previous sailings, the Guy burgers were great, and for the most part the lido buffets were very tasty. I must ...

This was our first cruise with Carnival, we have cruised with Royal Caribbean before, but decided to try Carnival as it fitted with our travelling dates and location we wanted to visit. We went to Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Food- The highlight of the food on the cruise was definitely the Guy Fieri burgers, delicious! However enjoyed the buffet, which changed the theme of their meal ...

Best Cruise Yet

My wife and I have sailed on 4 other carnival cruises. This was the first time we tried a December cruise, and it was the best decision we could have made. The timing (December 6-13) meant that most kids are in school. That meant few children in the Hot tubs, no lines at the buffet, and no searching for available deck chairs. The ship was clean and looked almost new after its recent overhaul. The ...

5th CCL cruise total, 7th overall This cruise had great pricing for the first week of December and as expected there were very few kids on board We did FTTF and loved it...from shuttle drop off at port we were thru checkin and able to drop stuff off in our cabin with 15 minutes. Luggage was delivered 2 hours later, so we were actually able to enjoy an extra half day on the ship. Debarkation ...

This was a beautiful and clean ship. It had everything anyone would want. The guys burgers were very good and easily accessible. The blue iguana burritos and tacos were also very good. The steakhouse was good but a little too fancy for us, however the main course (lobster and steak) was fantastic. The dining room food was OK and kind of bland. No good desserts in the mdr. Shows were very very ...

Usually I am chronological in my reviews and I recap the entire cruise, day by day. This time I will simply give you an overall 'Good/Bad' of the trip, as the days ran together due to bad weather most of the trip. The Good: 1 - Embarkation: Very smooth and fast. As Platinum, I was having my first beer on the Lido Deck at 10:45am. Stateroom was ready so I was all set. 2 - Cheers Program: They ...

Worst vacation ever!!! Never again will we cruise with Carnival

For a summary: 1)they smashed our bottle of red wine in our suitcase (hardcover suitcase) and it broke so hard that it pierced the bag it was in and there were shards of glass and red wine everywhere. We believe this was intentional be it to teach us a lesson about bringing it on or that we had a Canadian Flag on our luggage, there is no way this wine should have broke going from the suitcase to ...

Just returned from our 6 day Western Caribbean cruise on the Freedom. I will start with the positives, the embarkation was easy. The food was some of the best, the buffet was very good, Guy's burgers were fantastic, the Blue Iguana tortillas were made fresh to order. We had early dining in the Posh dining room where both the food and the service were excellent. Overall the staff were very friendly ...
