I will start with the disclaimer that this was a specialty cruise booked through a private tour company, so some of the tours and events reviewed may not be available. We boarded at 11:30am with no incident and headed to the tours desk as we needed to book the Tour of the Ship and it can only be done on the first day and not ahead of time. We then promptly went to the lido deck for snacks and a ...

Just got off the Carnival Freedom today after 8 wonderful days! The food and service were excellent. We ate breakfast and dinner daily in the main restaurant and I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and presentation of the meals. The buffet area had lots of choices-fish and chips, international, a Mongolian grill (my favorite), carving station, hamburger and hot dog grill and lots of ...

Traveled with 8 other couples all over 40 who have taken many cruises together. We chose this cruise as it was the ship's last trip to Panama, as well as for the extra sea days. We stayed at the Ft Lauderdale Airport Holiday Inn pre-cruise for the reasonable park & cruise package. Comfortable hotel with a gorgeous pool and great breakfast. Left for cruise port at 10 AM, were at the port by ...

This was our 1st time with Carnival. A group of 9 of us who have cruised before went together. We mainly chose Carnival because it went to Costa Rica and Panama. Normally we hit the islands. Overall the cruise was not bad, but here are some highs and some lows. First off, the food in the dining room at night was the best we have ever had. Combine that with a fantastic wait staff all around ...

Just got back from our Freedom cruise. It was great. I have have been on these broads for several years and I look at these reviews and wonder if they can be for reall. Well this one is. We got to Ft Lauderdale on Friday. Stayed at the Best Western by the beach. We got to the ship around 1:30 on the ship by 2:30. Not bad at all, able to take carry on to the room on 7. We found the ...

Carnival Freedom - Panama Canal and Central America

This particular cruise was chosen based on its itinerary. Traveling through the Panama Canal has been on my husbands "bucket list" since before we were married. After hearing that the canal is in process of being expanded we knew our time frame was short to have an opportunity to experience the original canal. We flew in to Ft. Lauderdale and were met by Carnival at the baggage area for ...

I'll start by saying that it's been 7 years since our last cruise on Carnival, and that one wasn't anything spectacular. We chose Carnival this time around based on the itinerary, and comments from friends who've recently cruised Carnival. I wasn't sure what to expect, but we came away very happy. Carnival has come a long way since we sailed on the Imagination. This time around, we wanted a longer ...

This was our 6th cruise ...5th on Carnival and it was wonderful! Excursions - Our first stop was Cozumel been here a few times...the last two we have gone to Mr. Sanchos all inclusive beach resort! Great time....all you can eat all you can drink for $50. This time we did not take advantage of the all inclusive (you can choose ala cart also). We enjoyed the beach for a few hours then went ...

First...Stan Corliss!! Talent, voice, and showmanship, we enjoyed every minute. Every evening we would plan on another activity, then end up listening to Stan. He played music that everyone liked. I think the audience would have danced more if the lights weren't so glaring. Speaking of lighting and decor...wow! Who put this together. I sat i one spot and looked at some kind of brightly ...

While I have enjoyed all of my cruises, some have been better than others. This was not one of those. Everyone can find things to dislike about almost any situation. I try not to be a nit-picker and find the good rather than the bad. We arrived in Ft Lauderdale the day before the cruise. Staying at one of the cruise and park hotels which we have utilized a number of time in the past. ...
