I Would Like To Say We Enjoyed the Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

It was reported that a good time was had by all. First trip on C Freedom. Food was great. Really liked that the hamburgers were great and included, as was the Mexican food and ice cream. Thanks, Carnival. Service was very good. Steward was very friendly and efficient. What more could a person ask for in a cruise, except maybe entertainment that was a little less lame. Dancing kids were very good. ...

We began our adventure by spending Super Bowl night at the Rodeway Inn in Ft. Lauderdale. With shuttles from the airport and to the cruise port, Rodeway provides convenient and economical pre-cruise accommodations. Embarkation was a breeze (although "priority boarding" was probably helpful). We had a fairly spacious and quiet balcony room on the Veranda deck, conveniently located one floor below ...

An Enjoyable Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Freedom

There were no real surprises. The ship is nice. For some reason I got easily turned around, going aft when I should have been going forward. Lets start with the really good: the entertainment. Oh my, there was some real talent in the production shows. I enjoyed every one of them. The theatre was laid out nicely and I never had a problem finding a good seat. The other entertainment was pretty good. ...

I am back off of the Carnival Freedom and I have nothing to say but great things about this ship and the crew. Embarkation was a breeze and we were on the boat by 11. The boat never felt crowded, and all of the new upgrades work well. The food in the dining rooms was much better than on previous sailings, the Guy burgers were great, and for the most part the lido buffets were very tasty. I must ...

I am a Brit so the fact that I was disappointed with the food was down to that a,though some Americans said the same. Aside from that it came up Luke warm in the restaurant. So saying there was more than enough if you liked it! The cabin was lovely but the information announcement did not feed into the cabin. Sometimes it was a good thing but when it was embarkation announcements you couldn't ...

This was our 7th cruise with Carnival. We had purchased the transfers from Ft. Lauderdale Airport to the cruise terminal. This was the first time we had problems with this service. The Carnival station at the airport was not properly manned. It took almost 3 hours from the time we landed to make it to the cruise terminal. Our room was ready and luggage delivered in a timely manner. Upon entering ...

Carnival 2.0 The Freedom Vs The Conquest

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

The Freedom was the first ship we have been on since Carnival has upgraded to 2.0. Some improvements they are trying are great, others leave me longing for the old days. We cruised back to back, 8 Days on the Freedom followed by 6 days on the Conquest. Although the ships are virtually identical in design, there is a vast difference in features and service. Let's start with features. Both ships ...

This was our 36th cruise. Coming fresh off the Oasis, we set our expectations a bit low. Boy were we wrong. This cruise was superior in every respect. Especially the entertainment was so much better than what we were used to see on many previous cruises. Stunning shows with pyrotechnics and laser light. And not just one show, but three (on a seven day trip). Absolutely fantastic! Embarkation was ...

Cold Showers, Vibrating Ships, Car accidents & horrible entertainment.

If this title is how you want to spend your hard earned money Carnival is the Ship for you. I have been on 6 other Cruises but this is the first with Carnival. I may be harsh to judge. But, Please believe me when I say go spend your money on a better brand. The lack of entertainment on the Freedom was surprising. I love to cruise just for the Vegas like acts at the end of the night to wrap up ...

This was our 3rd Carnival cruise, and by far the best. The entertainment at the theater was fantastic. Jen, the Cruise Director, was first class and as entertaining as the dancers/singers. It was a real treat to have Jen as Cruise Director. The theater opened up 30 minutes before the performances, and if you got there early you could sit as close to the stage as you wanted or find great seats in ...
