Needs Another Dry Dock

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Conquest

The beds in our cabin were uncomfortable and the A/C was subpar. We normally have very comfortable matrices on Carnival cruises. Public bathrooms and areas need a deep cleaning and more attention though out the cruise. Many of the deck chairs need replacing. We noticed stains and tears in the Serenity deck clam shell cushions. Staff was very friendly and attentive to guest. The activities and ...

Dirty ship, friendly staff!

We chose the Conquest because friends invited us to join them. Embarkation from Ft. Lauderdale was quick and easy. First thing we noticed after boarding was how dirty the windows and floors in the eating areas were. This ship is in need of a major renovation. Chaise lounges around pool area had threadbare cushions and stains. Decor throughout ship was aged and worn. Our balcony cabin was ...

First off to give some perspective, we have sailed maybe 25 times. We're obviously not first timers but we also have some relative experience with different lines. We have sailed Celebrity, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival lines. We have stayed in Suites, Balconies, Oceanviews and Inside Cabins. We chose the Carnival Conquest primarily for the ports but also the holidays and ...

I chose this cruise for the ports of call namely Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, and Amber Cove- certainly, all of these ports were absolutely wonderful to visit! The Conquest is an average ship, we enjoyed the sailing her but would not search her out again to sail on. Pros: Casino smoke was not bad! The layout of the ship is nice, it was not too difficult to get used to. Guest Services had ...

Thanksgiving/Birthday Cruise

We sailed on the Carnival Conquest from November 18 through November 24th.We choose this cruise because we wanted to do something different for Thanksgiving and to celebrate couple of birthdays. The ship was a little dated and a bit overcrowded. Let not talk about the sewage smell, it was unbearable at time. We won't do another holiday type cruise. The embarkment went smoothly. Once on the ship we ...

First and probably last cruise

This was the first, and probably last, cruise of my life. Overall it was just mediocre, and in the future I think I will stick to visiting all-inclusive resorts. Myself and my girlfriend (mid-30s) plus my family on the trip. Some details: Embarkation: We arrived around 1 p.m. and got through security pretty quickly and easily except that my group got separated and one half of us didn't ...

Chose this cruise for the itinerary. It’s been 7 years since I have been on carnival. We normally cruise on Royal Caribbean. My last cruise was 3 1/2 weeks before this one on the oasis. We were 2 couples. Had inside rooms on deck 7. We usually get a balcony but since we already did 2 cruises this year we did an interior which was fine. We had faster to the fun and arrived at 10am. ...

Went with family of 8. Ages from 50 to 80. Maybe that was our problem it seems like carnival caters to a younger crowd. First off the staff were so friendly. Loved the service however found the shows in main theatre were very loud and featured rock music. My parents had to leave. Wish they had more variety, shows for all ages. Fourth cruise on carnival and I must say worst shows ever. Loved ...

Ports were great but issues on boat

I choose this cruise as we have always used Carnival, and never any issues. However, this cruise was disappointing. Before we had left for the cruise we entered the ship and rooms were not ready so they sent us to express lunch, so we went to have a bite. There was water on the floor in the Lido deck inside one of the waitress islands and my husband slipped and twisted his knee. I found a officer ...

We chose this cruise because we had never visited the ports. Also, we have enjoyed Carnival ships in the past. Embarkation was easy and we were on board in just a few minutes. Cabin was clean and our steward started out with exceptional service. The main dining room was a disappointment, both service and food. Neither was up to expectations of previous cruises.Room service was a joke and never had ...
