Good cruise but older ship!
"I have a sweet tooth and I found all the desserts to be better than some other cruise lines which I liked  We went to the Crown Grill steak house and it was awesome. This was our 17th cruise on many different lines (Carnival, Celebrity, Cunard, Holland America, NCL and Royal Caribbean) and wanted to try Princess to see if it’s any better...."Read More

Very enjoyable cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Caribbean Princess

My wife and I chose this cruise mainly for the itinerary -- we had never been to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, or Cozumel -- and the timing, which fitted our schedule. (We forgot it was March break, our kids being long grown up). We had done one cruise on Princess years ago, and two each on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean since. Princess seems at least as good as Royal Caribbean, and better than Norwegian, ...

Great ship, limited allergen menu

I’ve sailed this vessel a few times and always been happy. I’m allergic to gluten, Celiac disease, and until this cruise they always accomadted well. The most recent selection of gluten free items was quite limited and staff was poorly trained in dealing with food allergies. I’m going again in May and hope to see some improvement. A great ship other than this issue. I did notice that the pool was ...

Great food, hit-or-miss entertainment, worn ship, too much time WAITING and WAITING

I'm Platinum with Princess and have cruised 30+ times with other cruise lines, so I overall love cruising. For this cruise, I would say the food was wonderful, the entertainment was hit-or-miss, but the biggest barrier that would keep me coming back to this ship was lack of AC in common areas (summertime Caribbean is no joke), and super long lines and wait times for EVERYTHING. PROS: - ...

Nice relaxing cruise

Overall I had a wonderful cruise. The weather was perfect except for one really hot day. The ports were as expected. Nice and relaxing with no major sites to see but good places to just enjoy. The ship is definitely showing some age but the smaller size is wonderful. I stayed in C2**. I loved staying on the 10th floor. Perfect location for anything I wanted to do. The gym opened at 6 am ...

We chose this ship due to the high prices on cruises these days. Princess was reasonable not the cheapest but okay for the ports. Ship is older but clean. Many areas of deferred Maintenace while it listed as being refurbed it needs another one soon and much updating. I did enjoy my cruise mostly because the crew was so fun to be around. The entertainment seemed board with their jobs. the ...

My first and definitely not last Princess cruise

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Caribbean Princess

I have been on several cruises in the Caribbean but I chose this one for the itinerary of Panama Canal and South America. I was pleasantly surprised how fast embarkation process was, no wonder since I spent hours downloading all necessary documents and photos on the Princess App beforehand. My only complaint there was no wi-fi at the Terminal at Ft. Lauderdale so I could not open the App. I ...

This was our 17th cruise on many different lines (Carnival, Celebrity, Cunard, Holland America, NCL and Royal Caribbean) and wanted to try Princess to see if it’s any better. We flew from Ontario to Ft. Lauderdale the day before the cruise and stayed at the Hampton Inn Airport North which was great. Embarkation/Disembarkation –The embarkation was delayed by almost 2 hours due to a Norovirus ...

Panama Canal and the new locks

We chose this cruise because 4 of the 6 people in our group had never seen the Panama Canal. The itinerary wasn't all that great but the canal was the highlight of the trip. The first stop was Falmouth, Jamaica. Nothing much to report here since we had all been to Jamaica before so got off walked around and back on again. Next stop was Cartagena, had never been here so booked a hop on hop off ...

Nice Cruise But ........

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Caribbean Princess

To put this review in perspective, just five weeks before this cruise we'd been to a river cruise on the Nile in Egypt. So any review after that may pale in comparison. That being said, this cruise was very nice in where the ship stopped for tours. We've been on a cruise to the Caribbean before but to different stops along the way. This cruise is listed as a ten day trip which is true enough ...
