Disappointed
"We attended a Chef's Table event/galley tour which was quite good, ($100 USD per person + 18% service fee) but the sommelier's wine selection left a lot to be desired, Overall, dining room food selections are adequate, the Fresh Market Buffet has good selections, but room service was mediocre and exceptionally slow on embarkation day.You have to select, in advance, your preferred dining time for every night, thus eliminating any flexibility...."Read More

We chose this cruise to celebrate a wedding anniversary and for the first time in over 50 years, celebrate Christmas at sea. We chose the CP because we'd been on this ship many years ago, and remembered it with great fondness. Sadly, the old girl is showing her age in many ways... CABINS: the cabins need to be updated, the bland colours and furnishings are aged and any repairs have been ...

We took our first cruise in 2009 and have done another 12 since then. Seven of them have been with Princess, and we would always recommend Princess to anyone who asked. Sadly, that isn't the case any more. We have done two Princess cruises since the pandemic ended, and on the previous cruise we were getting the impression that cutbacks had been made, however our views were coloured by the fact ...

Disastrous Cruise with some upside

We were booked on a 14 day Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Caribbean Princess Feb 2, looking forward to a relaxing holiday visiting places we have never been to before. We flew to Fort Lauderdale from Victoria BC via Toronto. Due to an accident beneath the aircraft after the doors had been closed, we sat on the runway for 4 hours. As a result we arrived in Fort Lauderdale over an hour after the ...

We were looking forward to this cruise due to the itinerary. One of the ports of call was Trinidad which was where my father was born so there was a personal connection. WE were disappointed that this 14 day cruse was reduced to 11 days due to a virus that infected many of the passengers on the ship. We were disappointed in the need to return to port early (and only were able to visit 3 of the 8 ...

NOT THE BEST ONE WE HAVE TAKEN

We enjoy Princess Cruises, but this one was not the best. While the islands were nice, the weather good, and overall service adequate, there were some things that were disappointing. !) Food selection was a challenge since the menu did not describe what ingredients were associated with the culinary terms that, apparently, the ship's chef liked to use. So, every dinner required explanations from ...

This was a good cruise with some not so good mixed in. Basically the cruise was fine in the sense you're on a floating hotel visiting all these beautiful places for two weeks over Christmas and New Year without any stress or worries. A few items to note, the wait lines/times for dinner are just silly and UNACCEPTABLE. On average we waited 30 minutes each night with 4 dinners being over an hour ...

This 14 day cruise cover the southern caribbean . It has a very good itinary the included St Thomas, Aruba, St Kitts, Barbados, antigua. The only drawback was that the ship did not stay long enough in most of these locations. But we enjoyed visting these places especially the nice beaches. We sailed the same ship few months ago and it was great. This time we noticed a significant deterioration in ...

Princess Cruises – Changes that create problems

Our 14 day cruise around the Caribbean was somewhat different to the other 20+ cruises we have enjoyed with Princess because some of their recent changes have not really worked well. In particular, the earlier meal and show times resulted in the theatre being full 45 minutes before the 6.45 and 8.45 pm shows and very little in the way of entertainment after 9.30 in the ...

My wife and I just returned from the 10 day Panama Canal Cruise. And I wanted to point out a few things we noticed about this cruise. First off we did have a good time, but we are very flexible travelers. One thing to keep in mind if you take this cruise is DO NOT take kids. This cruise is geared towards the 60 plus and I mean Plus age group. If you look forward to poolside parties, belly ...

I chose cruise because it was 14 nights. Next time would chose a back to back 14 nights because cruisers are younger. Very smooth and Easy embarkation and disembarkation. Service and cabin were great. I paid extra to be on the pool deck which was one below the fitness center. Tread Mills did not open till 8 so you could not go to early shore excursions or had to not go to fitness room early. ...
