we love to go away for Christmas and New Year and the dates for this worked really well. But two of the ports were not good, 1. Martinique on Christmas Day with the majority of town closed, limited taxis and not especially nice people or many things to do and 2. Trinidad where we were warned by various websites and people that it is the most dangerous of islands with the highest crime rate so ...
Absolutely magnificent cruise over Christmas and New Year's. The weather cooperated totally and the new surprises on the ship were nice additions. First I must comment on "Steamers". It was worth every cent of the $12 we paid to sample some really great seafood and the service provided by the staff was beyond excellent. The menu at the dining rooms was different than usual, but, terrific in ...
The reason my family and I decided upon Princess was the length of the cruise. All other lines failed to offer a 14 day cruise. We researched the ship, it was about 14 years old, it had undergone a maintenance a couple of years ago.. The ship looked very nice from the outside, The inside looked clean, the state rooms were in good shape. The only two items I found with the ship was the lower ...
We have been Princess passengers for years and will continue to be. The best service on board any cruise...perfect.
I agree with many others though, about the quality of food. It's short of what it used to be...
I think there are fewer and fewer Traditional diners that they have put all their energies into the Lido self serve and new kitchen food.
They have also changed the early seating ...
A Christmas cruise was on our bucket list and Princess had the dates that worked for us. We have sailed with Princess a few times and over all it was our first choice. The ship is in nice shape, it has had some remodeling and I understand more was being done in the near future. Our cabin was very comfortable. Lots of closet space and drawers. Dining was exceptional. We meet two couples that we ...
This was my second cruise with Princess. Both times I was on the conferences, so it was partly paid, but this one did not worse time I invested. First of, ship is very boring. Literally nothing going on aboard. If you want to get to the theater, you have to take you sit at least an hour before the show start. Their medalion program is absolute failure - my medallion stopped to open door for the ...
Food and service were very nice and the steam and sauna were too. This was a cruise with a good number of stops, but we were back on in time for the early dinner at 5:15 in all but one port, and the boat made it open seating that evening.
R607 was a great location and nice balcony. We barely felt any movement---just some vibrations or gentle rocking at times. There was a bit of noise above ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate our 25th anniversary and for it's length of time, number of ports and locations visited. We stayed at a small and very nice {clean} hotel/Inn, The Drift, which is about 1 1/2 blocks from the beach in Fort Lauderdale Fla. The strip along the beach is very clean and close to airport and cruise terminal. Getting on and off the ship was surprising easy and smooth ...
We chose this cruise to be away from the home during Christmas and New Year. We felt that being with others celebrating this season would be more enjoyable than staying in a cold climate. Most of the cruise went smoothly from embarkation to debarkation, but there were a few times where Princess could have showed some improvement. First what I found disappointing was Christmas Dinner was served ...
Having lived in Miami years ago we used to often visit the islands. Later on, European cruises, Australia and the Orient were more appealing.
These time we really enjoyed visiting eight islands, with the exception of Trinidad.; most people did not leave the ship.We were asked to remove the jewelry and walked with other tourists. We live in Florida so we didn't stay by the pool and leave it for ...
