Disappointing

We took this cruise because we wanted to see the Panama Canal. Which by the way was fantastic! BUT...... on the second day of our cruise we picked up 13 migrants off the coast of Cuba - which took approximately 3 hours. Our next stop was supposed to be Jamacia - well we had to pass on that because of the delay in picking up the migrants. THEN - no one told us you have to book an excursion to get ...

Reviews The Bad We booked a 10-day Princess Caribbean cruise from Fort Lauderdale last December 18th to the 28th, 2022. I hate to say that this was the most disappointing cruise experience that we had compared to the other cruise lines. Out of the ten days, we were on the ship for 7 days and just docked at the 3 ports (Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica) of our itineraries. The 2 most ...

The food was very disappointing on this cruise. The dining room food was so bland that we just stopped going halfway through the cruise. I remember the disappointment on everyone's face when one meal in particular arrived. I still find it hard to believe that they had the nerve to serve such a meal. The buffet (World Market) was okay for breakfast and lunch, and some of the specialty ...

We chose Princess for the first time mainly for the ports of call. The trip overall was wonderful as far as the stops and the excursions we did, some we booked through the ship and others we chose once we got off at each port. The ship was a beautiful ship overall. The staff every where on the ship were exceptionally friendly, always greeting you with a smile as they passed by. Our stateroom ...

Great itinerary. However if you receive a complimentary room upgrade please do yourself a favour and do research on where exactly they want to put you. We had our vacation ruined by loud chair shuffling, carts slamming and doors opening all night long every night. Other than that, the cruise was good, the food and the service were top notch. The itinerary was great too however Grand ...

Area that we did not like Safety Issue, Saw a passenger fall down two steps, I witness no action from thecrew to come to assist. No medical response team NOTHING Room attendant- Never saw him. He attempt to shine my shoes Look like he did with peanut butter! When a attempt to talk to customer service, they would not listen to anything said. Main food did not have a good ...

Surly servers, poor food

We decided to go back to see the Panama Canal again. Our cabin was fine and our cabin steward was great. The buffet area was not organized and the servers were not happy people. They were surly and not helpful. The food selection was surprisingly poor. We are Platinum level, so this was not our first Princess experience. The Panama tour was 2 hours late, cramped seating, and disorganized. When ...

Pockets of good and bad service made the cruise average or less. Good to excellent were the stateroom attendant, bar tenders, casino staff, Steamers upcharge venue (add the lobster and crab for $12 more), and Ray Coussins on piano! Poor were the dining rooms for spotty service and errors in billing drinks; at least the food was good... Also the Ocean Medallion system did not work well except ...

Caribbean Princess Pros and Cons (long)

Caribbean Princess 12/9 to 12/19 Panama Canal Cruise Pros: Embarkation was fairly smooth and quick with the new electronic Medallion system. Cruise terminal staff were friendly and helpful. Staterooms were ready for guests upon boarding the ship. Our stateroom door usually “recognized” our electronic Medallions upon our approach and unlocked the door for us. The ship was ...

This ship caters to elders. If your looking for variety of options from activities, entertainment, shopping, dining DO NOT choose this ship. Store hours were short. Everything expect the casino and a couple bars closed by 10 pm. I found information was misleading or lacking for a couple excursions so once paid and on them it wasn't what a person thought. It'll be a headache to fight for a refund ...
