Ship Just Out of Dry Dock, Many Issues....

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Caribbean Princess

I had read that there could be problems with a ship leaving dry dock and it was true. There is no need to list everything that was wrong, but there were many things that took about five days to remedy. That being said, the prices had been discounted drastically which did compensate for most of the problems. If this had been my first cruise on a Princess ship it would have been my last. I hope ...

Embarkation was 4 hours late in starting, no heat for days despite 40 degrees outside. Numerous calls and visits to desk were put on back burner. Excursion very expensive and the worst we've ever taken. Taken to Paris given ticket and when clearing security us, and several others were dumped no guide no group. Had to search for group and had no time to check out area or even to pickup a souvenir. ...

First time on Princess Cruises, maybe our last

This cruise was not all that bad but it wasn't all that great either. Past Princess cruisers we met on board asked us to give Princess another go. We cruise based mainly on highest value - lowest price for high quality. Pros: The cruise went to three places we had not yet visited, Bermuda, Ireland, and Cornwall. We arranged our own excursions and would use these tour groups again. For ...

We had an adequate transatlantic crossing. It had some good points, but overall was just OK. We've been on 22 cruises and traveled many lines, some luxury and some mass market, but this was our first time on Princess. First the things we liked: Embarcations & Disembarkations: The ship was delayed in reaching Ft. Lauderdale for our departure, but we received warning e-mails, and we followed ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and wanting to take an east bound t/a having done several crossing west bound. Knowing the ship was coming out of dry dock gave us some concern which proved correct in our thinking. Much refurbishing was still being performed during the cruise such as carpeting still being laid down and an annoying banging/grinding noise below our cabin mid ship. Cannot ...

Disappointed

Chose this cruise to get to Ireland. We have sailed about 18 times with Princess. The newly refurbished updated Horizon Court was very nicely appointed. The problem was the food at lunch was not very good. There was not much variety and it didn't seem fresh. Everything seemed tired and had that leftover feeling.the space felt small as much of the room was taken up by two new pay to play ...
