"Talking of the back of the ship, according to the Princess website before we left, there was a barbeque restaurant and a seafood restaurant but when we got on the ship we found these were closed, probably permanently, and no one could tell us why.Now I realise that the cruise companies lost a lot of money while they couldn't operate, and they have to get that back somehow, but there will come a time when loyal customers will look elsewhere (perhaps at all inclusive hotels) if they feel they are no longer getting value for money...."Read More

1-10 of 317 Princess Caribbean Princess Cruise Reviews for Family to the Southern Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
We have always booked exclusively for itinerary and not the ship, but now we are going to change that to both. The itinerary was Princess Cays, St. Thomas, Dominica, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, Guadeloupe, and Antigua.
Antigua was such a pleasant surprise and it really stole the show for us! Such a breathtakingly beautiful island with super friendly locals. We took an excursion ...
My wife and I, who are long term Princess cruisers chose the Caribbean Princess because it was the perfect time to sail, right after Christmas and through New Year.
We have been to the Caribbean several times before so we were not really concerned about the itinerary just a warm place to go. We did rent a cabana on Princess Cays which was really nice with A/C and excellent food. Sadly, it was ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate a wedding anniversary and for the first time in over 50 years, celebrate Christmas at sea. We chose the CP because we'd been on this ship many years ago, and remembered it with great fondness. Sadly, the old girl is showing her age in many ways...
CABINS: the cabins need to be updated, the bland colours and furnishings are aged and any repairs have been ...
Overall: We recently came back from a 10-night Eastern Caribbean cruise over the Christmas holidays aboard the Caribbean Princess. We feel that Princess continues to offer a good cruise value, especially compared to some competing “premium” cruise lines, in most respects. The service (especially dining room and bar/lounge) remains generally excellent, along with the value of the Plus package, the ...
We took our first cruise in 2009 and have done another 12 since then. Seven of them have been with Princess, and we would always recommend Princess to anyone who asked. Sadly, that isn't the case any more. We have done two Princess cruises since the pandemic ended, and on the previous cruise we were getting the impression that cutbacks had been made, however our views were coloured by the fact ...
Someone below said 'beautiful ship." It may have been when launched, but she is very tired now. She does not come close to being as beautiful as several NCL ships we've sailed. I thought Princess would be a step up from NCL, but that was not the case at all onboard this vessel. I was disappointed in the food quality---particularly the Crown Grill, their specialty restaurant. The breakfast pastries ...
It is hard to find a 14 night cruise that makes a circle in the Caribbean and doesn’t return to home port after 7 nights. This cruise has a good balance of sea days and port days. You have to pace yourself when choosing activities off the ship or you can wear out when you’re doing 6 or 7 ports back to back.
The food this trip was excellent in the main dining room. The entrees were tasty and ...
Let me start off by commanding the crew who fought through adversity and came out shining. Kudos to all who worked on this voyage of so many things wrong.
We got into Ft. Lauderdale 3 days early to relax and do a little sightseeing - whoops - it rained most of the three days! But, we did have a great Valentine's dinner at the Old Heidelberg Inn close our Best Western hotel. The staff at this ...
We had saved for this trip of a lifetime and it was shocking. We were told the boat had been deep cleaned and it was perfectly safe to travel as the norovirus was no longer an issue. This could have been no further from the truth. Within two days passengers were vomiting with diarrhoea. As you walked to your cabin you could smell both. People were very poorly and they tried to play it down my ...
We chose this cruise because we love the Caribbean islands. The stops were great, except Trinidad. We were there during Carnival and the streets were loud and violent - wouldn't choose that port again. Quick note about wipes, regular Clorox wipes won't kill Norovirus, but the hydorgen peroxide wipes do. We took a container on board and wiped our cabin a few times during the two weeks.
I can't ...
