We just returned from a 10-day Princess Panama Canal cruise. If you are thinking of it, read this and think long and hard. This was our 3rd cruise with Princess. I did this cruise pre covid with my mother, about 8 years ago. I was so excited to show my husband and grown son all the cool things but much has changed and to me, not for the better, This will be my last trip with Princess. The ...

Bad food in the dining room. Service was not much better!

We chose this cruise to see the new locks of the Panama Canal which we did. We were on the same cruise ship in August and it was very good. New chef, captain, and cruise director made it a poor cruise. Main problem was the food in the dining room. Awful. Cruise director liked to hold everything in the center of the cruise ship which was not large enough for dance lessons and dancing at night. ...

Worst cruise in ALL my years of cruising!!!

Do not take the Caribbean Princess at any time for any reason unless you want the worst experience of your lifetime and want to waste your money and time. On our first night on the ship, the dining room was freezing cold. The waiter did not care. One lady at our table asked for a tablecloth and wrapped herself in the tablecloth to keep warm. That was only the start of it. We arrived in the ...

Took Caribbean Princess on Jan 2, 2018 Panama Canal Cruise. 5th cruise on Princess, 9th overall. Everything as expected except condition of ship. Expected better as ship was 8 million revitalization in 2017. Excessive engine vibration noticeable throughout ship. Never felt a ship vibrate so much before. Very bad in Palm dining room. Was informed ship due for dry dock in April 2019 to fix. If ...

1st time sailing with Princess, and it is the last. They said we were the inaugural sailing with the medallions, which in my opinion are a bother and did not work well - AT ALL. Ours broke mid-cruise and they asked for it and didn't return it for a day and a half. You can still use your card, and call out a four digit number (and yes everyone can hear it) to a waiter/waitress, who sometimes would ...

My wife and I cruised exclusively on Princess for many years and stayed on cruise ships months at a time. Needless to say we reached the Elite level some time ago. One of my favorite cruise ships was the old Caribbean Princess (before renovation) ugly ice cream cone and all. The food on that ship was very good. We recently took a 10 day cruise and were pleasantly surprised by the new renovation. ...

Worst cruise we have ever experienced

The ship has been refurbished and the buffet has been cut down to a third of standard because Princess has two (2) new specialty restaurants (of course additional fee). The buffet has a picnic theme, subs and ready for this...at dinner...PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY SANDWICHES...unbelievable! One guest we met onboard is a professional chef in Las Vegas and he said he will never sail with Princess ...

As Platinum Elite members my wife and I have cruised with Princess many times. We have decided that our recent 5 day cruise will be our last with Princess. The cruise line's food quality and serving size has declined substantially in all of the dining areas. Very poor taste and quality, and presentation. The specialty restaurant price has increased 16% from $25 to $29 per person while the meat ...

no activities while at port for those who remain on the ship

I chose Princess because I never sailed with them before. I went on my birthday and thought it would be something special and to my surprise it was very dissapointing. I suggest that more interactive activities be provided for the passengers that stay on board while in a port. The dining menu was good and the steff was great, they were very proficent and professional and was very attentive to your ...

This is my first cruise critic review and it is negative. I have had plenty of wonderful vacations on the sea but never choose to share, I should have, now knowing what a bad experience feels like. My girlfriends and I travel once a year and this vacation was the partial Panama locks transit. there are so many things that upset me it is hard to know where to start so I will just list ...
