Wonderful TA on HAL Rotterdam

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Holland America Rotterdam

I have never written a review before, but after attending the Meet & Greet and reading too many negative reviews on this site, I was compelled to contribute. This was my third TA on HAL, and in many ways the best. The staff were attentive, the food was excellent, and the seas were calm (which of course no one ever has any control over). I will agree there is not as much programming for sea ...

Great time on the Celebrity Equinox!

We recently completed a 12 night Trans-Atlantic cruise to Portugal on the Celebrity Equinox. We had a balcony cabin on deck 9 mid-ship. The entire ship and our cabin was very clean. This was one of our best cruise adventures to date! From A to Z everything was excellent! The entertainment, food quality, activities and service were really good. I can't say enough good things about ...

I Was Disappointed

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Nieuw Statendam

I sailed on the 4/7 transatlantic and the 4/21 Rotterdam to the Canary Islands and back cruises. There was good and bad but overall I was disappointed based on my expectations from reading reviews of Holland America. In no particular order: Embarkation was quick. I wasn't happy with a cabin "upgrade" (it wasn't) that I didn't ask for which put me on the wrong side of the ship for sunsets on ...

The Jewel is smaller, which was great. Lots of brass and wood, like a ship should be. The crew are to be commended. Pleasant, helpful, a joy to deal with. Almost everyone greeted me first. Lattitudes staff remembered me and my order after the first day. Very happy with crew. 2500 customers so the only time I had to wait on anything was lunch on sea days and the Lattitudes coffee line. Sea days ...

Great cruise with great staff

Had a fabulous cruise with happy friendly passengers. Unlike the review I have just read we didn’t encounter any feral passengers, they didn’t over fill their plates and didn’t mix their meal and dessert onto the same plate. Now getting back to the cruise the ship was very clean, our cabin was spotless with clean bedding and nice white fluffy towels. We enjoyed the trivia but found it difficult to ...

Give Regal a pass for another Princess ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Regal Princess

Least favourite of Princess ships. Food is of poorer quality even though the dinner menu is the same on all Princess ships. ventilation system is extremely poor. Did they forget about COVID on this ship. Had many issues on ship but these were addressed quickly ie. shower didn’t work, food was cold in dining room and dirty balcony with broken glass. I am now officially turned off Princess cruises. ...

Awesome Cruise. Everything was amazing. Staff is top notch. Friendly caring and fun. Food was fabulous. Shows and entertainment was very good. 3 tinder ports, very well done. Amazing areas for get together. Poker game is limit and could be utilized better. Had some trouble with my AARP gift cards, It took a long while to get them on my account, maybe should have done that before ...

I am currently on the Jewel of the Seas on the TA cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton. We flew to Miami on the 4th April with American Airlines. This was the first time flying with them and I was very impressed with the whole experience. There was more leg room than with other airlines we had used in the past and the boarding process was much more organised. The airline crew were very ...

Jewel is still a Jewel

I chose this cruise as an early 60th birthday present for my wife (of course I could enjoy it too!). We have managed to enjoy many cruises including TransAtlantics, although my wife has had several major operations which can affect her health, so I opted to get the long flight out of the way first and then enjoy the sailing back to the UK with the hope of no issues. Firstly, living in middle ...

Disappointing

After having cruised with Princess many times, we were disappointed with some of the changes they have made. The menu in the main dinning room was very limited and often they choices were not of our liking. The Buffet arrangement was very confusing and hard to negotiate. They have also turned the Churchill lounge into a video room, it was once an enjoyable place to have a cigar and drink. The ...
