In the pre-covid days we had a very nice Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Summit. It was one of their older ships but was in fine fettle, the crew were great, food and entertainment fine and the kids club was used by our (then) 6 year old granddaughter. So we decided to book our first "holiday" cruise - over Xmas and New Years - for 2020. Well, needless to say, that didn't happen. We used the ...
There needs to be a way for guests to see reviews of shore excursions. Took 4 and none were as described.
St Lucia: 4x4 Waterfall and Beach Adventure
This excursion from Celebrity was ok. Over an hour bus ride to a waterfall. Short walk to the waterfall. Saw local scenery along the way. Overall not a good use of limited time in the island.
The beach was along the highway. If you dont ...
I'd avoid Holland America line if you are not an old age/white person. You will be ignored at bars, restaurants, will be seated at undesirable seats and get bad service if you do not fit their expected profile above. Took us 45 minutes to get a glass of wine. They'd flatly refuse to seat you at a window in a walk-in dining place to keep the seating just in case somebody more desirable shows up. ...
By far the coldest ship we’ve ever been on, the air conditioning must have been at the highest level. All the bars and lounges were freezing, we saw people coming in and shivering and leaving again. The restaurant was so cold the food went cold very quickly. We were told it was centrally controlled and could not be altered.
The shore excursions were a disaster, some because of the weather which ...
Small friendly ship. Food was very good - never had a problem selecting something and it always came up hot. Service was also very good. The host knew our name after the first night at the MDR. Breakfast and lunch buffet was also very good - different selections every day for lunch.
We enjoyed the 'Living Room' bar and piano music. Different 'theme' music most nights - nice atmosphere and a ...
Although the food is incredible, the service is extremely slow and low quality. If you are someone who enjoys poolside service, this cruise is not for you because the average time I waited for a drink was roughly 45 minutes to an hour, and they consistently get your order wrong. The average time for all of our food to come in the dining room was roughly 2.5 hours and I have had staff roll their ...

I work at a university that is closed for two weeks around the winter holidays, so taking a cruise that ...
Went on this cruise pre-Christmas 2023. Found a great price on a Concierge class cabin. We've been cruising since 1988 and are both around 60 years old. I drink, but my spouse does not.
CONS: The ship is older, but headed for dry dock in a few months. Rust was apparent outside our balcony but did not cause any concern. Some public area seating needs to be renovated. Be sure to note if ...
Wanted a pre holiday mayhem trip and this fit the bill. Ship was 100% booked, but didn't really feel like it. We were in ov deck 3 fwd..
Our fav spot for a cabin..guest service, main atrium & a bar all 10 or so doors away..oh & fwd elevators handy as well.
Food was good in main drm. We did the steak house & it was fine w better service than main drm. Buffer was really well laid out and had ...
Having taken numerous cruises, including recent sailings on Virgin, Holland America, and Princess, I can say my 5-night Celebrity Equinox cruise stands out as one of my most enjoyable recent experiences. While some aspects like dining have changed since my last Celebrity cruise in 2012, the line still delivers excellent service, entertainment, and ship maintenance. Celebrity strikes a fine balance ...
