We cruised "The Allure" in 2012. So, I'm able to do some comparison. Getting off and on this massive ship was a breeze. We did all the online documentation so, we were able to bypass all the lines. We walked off with our luggage at 630am.
We have always done My Time Dining with no issues. This time was another story. MTD is a broken system on Allure that needs a lot of attention. We were on ...
I could not be more upset about our experience on this ship.
Starting with the staff: Other than the gentleman that kept up our room and our main dining wait staff everyone was rude, and underwhelming. No one seemed to know where anything was on the ship and acted inconvenienced but our fairly simple requests or questions. I was referred to kiosks several times to try and figure it out myself. ...
I loved this ship two years ago two celebrate my wedding anniversary. We wanted to return with friends. Tut he ship is a beautiful ship, very expensive and they have not taken care of it. The rugs are dirty and spots in front of the stairs case and in the rooms they do not put water or soda to purchase or an ice bucket to have ice. They do have a small refrigerator, that is empty. The drinks are ...
We have sailed numerous times on Royal and this was out third on Allure of the Seas and we are booked again in April. What keeps us coming back? We absolutely love Central Park, it is beautiful in the morning and the evening. We love the freshly repaired salads and sandwiches at the Park Cafe.
The diving show Oceanaria in the Aqua theater never ceases to be amazing!
We read all the ...
Allure of the Seas Review
Western Caribbean
10/07/18-10/14/18
Suite 11330
Who: Me, my husband and our 10 year old son
This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise, though we’ve been on 3 Disney cruises, a Carnival cruise and a Princess cruise.
Originally we had booked a balcony room for $4,300 including free gratuities (for first two guests) and $300 onboard credit. About 6 weeks ...
The Allure of the Seas is a massive ship that feels much smaller than it is.
Embarking in Fort Lauderdale we drove from Orlando and had an easy time of it, luggage drop off was smooth, but getting into the parking lot was a bit difficult. The signs are small and the taxis were blocking much of the way.
Getting aboard itself was easy with Royal Caribbean's expedited arrival system. A host ...
I wanted to try the big ship, and it is really big, although being this big brings less focus. There is a list of things to do every day but most of it is self led or not of interest to me. We had a balcony room with ocean view, on deck 12. The room was adequate, and had enough room for a couch. I have been on 17 cruises and my first cruise was on the enchantment of the seas, a much smaller ...
Cruised Sept 23-30
Chose this cruise because it was my first time on Allure and the dates really worked for my schedule. The service model on this ship is broken and they could really use a week off to retrain everyone (not going to happen). I tried to write my experience in 3 categories.
NEGATIVES
1. Upselling is out of control. Once you step foot on the ship you're being up-sold if you ...
Ship is huge, knew that in advance, but some of the things that I've come to enjoy about cruising, such as walking outside and listening to the waves, is just not possible. Certainly a lot to do, dining staff did a good job, food was fine, room was average, but just so many people and to few places to really relax and not hear all the commotion of things going on.
Bigger is not better in my ...
-Survey; While the Genie will look at them they won’t have it memorized so manage your expectations and make an effort to have your preferred drinks etc (note that if you like a certain type of liquor that is rare or Dr Pepper they will get it onboard for you but you need to say something before the cruise so they can plan)… Some people comment on the “gift from the Genie” being associated with ...
