Ship Needs Revamping

We sailed as a family of five on Adventure, all adults. Even though we had a good trip the ports and ship would not be my first choice again. Boarding was a shambles, but not Royal’s fault. They had a Coast Guard inspection that morning, and there is no controlling how long the Coast Guard takes. Once we were released to board, even though it was hectic with so many people, it went ...

Embarkation was very easy. On the ship within 5 minutes of arrival. Cabin was clean as expected. Main dining room food was good, except some meals were sent back because they were served cold. Windjammer buffet was good. Shows were just average and there were no production shows. They did not have a Love and Marriage Game show which we have always found to be enjoyable. Service was ...

We chose this cruise because it was related to work. Pro: The entertainment throughout the ship was outstanding. The dancers, vocalists, ice skaters, and individual performers were highly professional! Cons: We ended up with a cabin overlooking the promenade. Unless you party late I would not recommend this location because of loud music. The food in the dining room was ...

We wanted a longer cruise that was affordable, so we could choose some excursions. We enjoyed the hot tubs and the decor. Our cabin was perfect; fantastic location. except not enough room for my wheel chair.(The handicapped cabin was more expensive). Our room's caretaker was excellent. No room for improvement there either. She was a kind sweet young lady, very thorough. We even enjoyed ...

We chose this cruise due to date "spring break" and location. It was my son, 13yo and me traveling alone. We wanted something close to home and a chose a cruise since we wanted to stick to a pre-set budget so we pre-paid all our gratuities, excursions etc. We had a few ship sailing options from Miami and Ft Lauderdale in the end we chose this ship because the itinerary was more interesting for ...

We live in Canada and knew we would need to reacquaint ourselves with the sun by end Jan - hence this cruise. For this first time, we decided to splurge on a Jr Suite, which was affordable due to the short length of the cruise. What great accommodations! Could not believe how much storage space we had available - many of the storage cupboards went empty! Wow - a couch and two lounge chairs - ...

Elvis Tribute Artist cruise; having sailed on many RCCL ships, I found Adventure to have positives (smaller size easier to get around) and negatives (RCCL has tried to squeeze all of the amenities of Oasis class ships into this smaller one making for some tight spaces). Food was OK but choices very limited. Complimentary was either the main dining room with service that was way over the top ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted to party over New Year's and we did. Easy getting on the ship with an early shuttle and as promised room was open right at 1 o'clock. The Adventure is an older ship and showing her age even though many on board said she had been recently renovated. Casino was small, paint and hardware needed attention and many areas were just not serviced in a timely ...

We did this cruise with friends on their first cruise. Quite the experience. First the good: we were in 6640, balcony cabin. Embarkation was quick easy and painless! It was very nice, good location and the bed was great. We didn't mind the lower half of balcony obstructed. The promenade deck was just below us with all the fun stuff and coffee shop! The staff were polite and friendly for the ...

We chose this cruise for the timing, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Although we are veteran cruisers we had never sailed RCCL. The overall cruise was good (what's not to like on a cruise?). We found the staff generally friendly and accommodating. The main dining room provided surprisingly good food with superior service from our waiter, Joel, his assistant, Igety(sp?) and Amit, our section ...
