Check in smooth. Room ready at 2ish. Every single day charges applied to card for mandatory gratuities. Watch out as 18% added to drinks purchased automatically. Ship is very tired in places and needs refitted. Rusty balconies. Filthy glass on balcony. And outside areas Staff are fabulous. And doing their best with a ship that’s had it. Food in windjammer is mass produced rubbish. ...

Old ship, needs lots of maintenance

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

The Adventure of the Seas is an old ship that is in need of a lot of care and maintenance. The appearance of the ship is rusty, with outside tables and chairs that are showing their many years of usage. The cabins are small, carpets haven't been cleaned is some time and balcony rusty, stained/dirty decking. Food in main dining room and buffet was tasteless, bland and repetitive, day after day. ...

Worn Out Booze Cruise

We traveled with our family-2 kids under 10 and 2 adults. The ship was dated (stains on lounge seats, theater chairs, etc. The main hall of this ship was very congested on floor 5 and it did not feel like a grand cruise. The pool was crowded and by the end of the days at sea- green/discolored from all of the use. We couldn’t get off the ship fast enough. Another problem is that the nightly ...

Ship too old

We chose it because of Port and destinations. The ship is old and it shows all over. The MDR staff was excellent but tablecloths were stained and you could see black marks on the table through them. After the first night our table was exchanged for another one. Casino staff must have been in training. Windjammer staff was terrible! Entertainment was a bright spot! The Islands were awesome and ...

Inferior to Celebrity

Inexpensive btb after celebrity silhouette....dining room food on adventure was excellent, Far less crew than is needed; plastic glasses rolled around on windy top deck; public washrooms often needed attention; windjammer was a zoo and hours of operation were not early enough in the morning or long enough for lunch; signing up for pool towels meant we collected return towels rather than have ...

I had sailed on the Adventure of the Seas previously and enjoyed the ship and it’s crew, so I booked back to back cruises (Dec. 7 and 15). The ship is still structurally a wonderful vessel, but the crew, service and food leave a lot to be desired. The my time dining room is set up with too many tables. Cramming diners into the space provides challenges for the diners. I was bumped repeatedly ...

Stayed in an Airbnb about 1 mile from the pier. We were listed to arrive at 1 pm but we arrived at 11 am. We filled out all of the info online before arriving(cc info, pictures etc....). This was by far and away the easiest and fastest embarkation of any of my past 20 cruises. A five minute wait in the security line and then an agent looked at my passport, scanned my boarding pass and took a ...

We just returned from a Caribbean Cruise on Saturday, March 30. The staff was wonderful - attentive, kind, welcoming...all you could hope for. As usual when this many people are being served, the food is fair. They do the best they can given the limitations and the massive number of people they are serving. It seems healthier options are gradually moving in. Our balcony room was lovely and had ...

This cruise was a let down for me. It was an 8 day cruise and the cons overweighed the pros by a lot. First of all, everything closed SO early. The buffet closed at 9 pm but started sectioning people off at 8:30-845. I’ve never been on a ship that the buffet closed so early. If we wanted food after 9, it was basically just pizza. A lot of things in general were closed. The flowrider was only ...

We did a b2b on Adventure to escape the cold and to spend time with friends. Our cabin steward was Sherwin and he was the absolute best we’ve ever experienced! Kind, always smiling and incredibly efficient. Superb does not come close to describing Sherwin. I have deadly allergies to seafood, mushrooms and tarragon. I emailed the ship prior to the cruises with the information and requested a ...
