One of the nicest things for us on this cruise was the size of our Family Promenade Stateroom. In the past, we had stayed in regular staterooms which everyone knows are very small. Because we brought our four children along this time, we got the Family Promenade Stateroom instead. We were still concerned about it being enough space with six of us, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was more than adequate. We had a king bed with a privacy curtain and a large walk-in closet. Our two youngest kids had their own private bunk bed room with privacy curtain and closet. And our two oldest slept on the fold out couch (although it was a tad short....their feet dangled off the edge of the bed). There was plenty of storage all throughout the room and we were able to tuck empty suitcases under the beds, giving us even more space. We were able to watch the parades and other events from our windows if we didn't want to go down to the Promenade. And the bathroom had a full tub and shower, which is much larger than you get in a regular stateroom. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin steward was great the cabins were nice. The only downside was the refrigerator. It never really got cold. This must be normal because they had it packed with candy and soft drinks and chips. We had them remove this stuff because the prices were out of site. We wanted to use it for water but the water from the faucet was colder then what we got from the refrigerator. Read entire member review >>
7263 was great! as a solo room. I can''t imagine sharing the closet space with someone else, Or the bathroom. The water pressure was always great and there was more than enough hot water. I am a 6 feet tall woman.. And I am not skinny...so I need my space... A queen bed is small for me...this room would be ok for a child and an a adult or 2 small adults .... Cuz there was room under the bed for 1 suitcase and the other was in the closet...and just enough hangers for my clothes. I loved the vanity lights on the vanity as I like to wear makeup and have a nice place to put all off my things. The room is forward in the ship and the elevator is close by as well. We had a Promenade Family Room which was more than enough room for our family of four. We were two decks above the Ben and Jerry's with two windows with window seats. We had a queen-sized bed (two beds pushed together), a full sofa bed (great for the kids but a little short for us) and a small room with bunk beds. There was a very nice sized walk in closet with an additional full closet in the main room with a half-sized closet in the room with the bunk beds. Our bathroom was nice with a tub and shower combo instead of just a shower which was great for the kids.
We loved looking down onto the Promenade. It was more interesting than just looking out of the window at water. We definitely heard music playing on the Royal Promenade below and heard banging at times from the crew service elevator right next to our stateroom but it never bothered us.
