Ocean View Balcony (1D) Cabin Reviews

The cabin was large and in a good location - not too far from the elevator and yet no ship noise. The patio door was difficult to open/close, but discovered that if you pushed the door out it made for easier movement. Everything else was ... Read More

The cabin was fine, however the shower door clearly had mold around where the doors join together. There was also no garbage can/holder in the bathroom. Also, this cruise had far fewer channels to watch, which for having a 1 year old onboard, was a bit annoying as it barely had any entertainment for her while we were changing. Read Less

I understand mattresses can't continually be replaced, but this bedding was either taunt canvas or concrete. Everyone we spoke to said the same and were in pain from these beds. People look forward to being lulled on a ship...not needing traction when we return home. Also, start selling RC night lights, for your cabin bathrooms, that are lit more intensely than the sun. Cabin # 8644, just aft of mid-line. We like cabins in this area of the ship because of the stability and proximity to everything. The cabin was clean and in great condition, there’s nothing I can complain about. One day someone flushed something they shouldn’t have and the toilets from deck 6 on up to the top stopped working, not the crews fault but they had the problem resolved pretty quickly. Our cabin steward Mark took the time to introduce himself to us before we sailed and that’s something I appreciated as we were able to get each others schedule. This may not sound like much but getting out of each other's way when he needs to do his work makes for a happier steward and much more comfortable passengers. Read Less

We selected this one because it has an adjoining room (7562) and we were traveling with our adult son and his woman. We were able to have the balcony partition open to double the space. Clean...exactly what I expected--but beware: THE BEDS ... Read More
