This was our first cruise with Fred Olsen and overall we were quite impressed with the value for money it provided. First of all the Norwegian Fjords were spectacular. The weather was a little unsettled at times, but this did not distract from the views of soaring mountains over the tranquil fjords.

This was our first experience with FOCL and the Braemar. The cruise was 10 nights around the UK from Southampton; up to the first port of Leith for an overnight, then Dundee, Invergordon, Scrabster, Oban and Belfast. Embarkation was quick and easy with only a medium queue to deal with. We got to our cabin, the bags arrived and we went up to the lounge for tea and sandwiches. First time with Fred Olsen and would definitely go with them again.
Embarkation was drawn out especially as newcomers we had arrived early.
Why, people are of the boat first thing in the morning don't they let people start boarding until 15.oo hrs or later.
With Thomson we have often been on board by noon even if the cabins aren't ready until later.
