Definitely a decline in quality of food this trip, I noticed a distinct economising in food and bar staff, but most disturbing was the immobility of passengers. Should there unhappily have been an evacuation, the the number of wheelchairs, 3 pronged walkers and very immobile passengers would have been a disaster waiting to happen. The narrower passageways would have been blocked up very badly and ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted to enjoy the experience of the arctic in winter from the comfort of a cruise ship and hoped to see snow covered, breathtaking scenery and the northern lights.
We also wanted to eat well, have a comfortable cabin, socialise with like minded folk and to be entertained. Sounds a lot to ask for... but we were paying £270 a day plus excursions, plus drinks, ...
Britain's Historic Site's & Scenic Delight's June 18th - 10 nights cruise from Newcastle
Booked only 3 weeks before got a good deal half the original price - seemed to be lot's of guest's doing this

We chose the cruise because of the itinerary - German waterways and that was everything we hoped for. Great stops at Flensburg, Travemunde, Hamburg and Bremen and peaceful and scenic cruise down the rivers and Kiel canal. At all ports we did our own thing so cannot comment on excursions.
We had a superior suite on deck 7, roomy with sofa, two armchairs, loads of storage space and really large ...
My thoughts on MS Braemar.
Cabin 3116
The cabin was quite small by modern standards and the air con was woefully inadequate so the temperature varied from warm to hot regardless of how the thermostat was set.
The bed was narrow but very comfortable and it was nice to have the facility to make a cup of coffee.
The public rooms
The Braemar Room, Morning Light Pub, Corel Club and Thistle ...
Hubby and I made he long journey to Dover for this cruise. We've done a few before including one on the Balmoral. We thought we'd give this one a go. The initial impression was quite good although it went on a downhill slope after the first few days.
I must say scenery was beautiful along the Baltic, with Talinn, St Petersberg and wonderful Helsinki. All too brief in reality though, would have ...
Object of the cruise was to get as far north as possible and this was achieved - having said that there were several negatives. The entertainment was good but the pressure on the main shows in the Neptune Lounge was so bad that it was impossible many times over the 15 nights to get a seat with a view of the stage - in fact for one of the main shows we were forced to take the only free seats which ...
My wife and I are relatively new to the cruising scene. Most certainly when many of our previous fellow passengers appeared to spend most of their leisure time on board some cruise ship or other.
We have previously enjoyed four Cunard cruises, starting with the late lamented QE2 and including the maiden voyage of the Queen Elizabeth.
My wife let it be known that she would like to spend her ...
