Horror Cruise! Norwengian is no longer Norwengian! Since COVID, NCL cruises have deteriorated in an inexplicable way. We are on board the Dawn crossing from Africa to Europe. An outbreak of gastroenteritis on board. Hundreds with diarrhea, including crew. The same ship, on the last cruise before this one, had already been quarantined on the Mauritius Coast with cholera suspected. It seems they ...
Our Island Princess Cruise was scheduled with an itinerary from Dubai to the Red Sea / Suez Canal to the Greek Islands to Italy. Due to world events, Princess deleted the itinerary and substituted a new segment from Cape Town to Rome through the eastern Mediterranean.
This was our 45th wedding anniversary trip and we had targeted the Greek Isles as a bucket list item to check-off. Princess ...
Had a Balcony room on the 14th floor The Balcony had some serious rust issues to make it quite unappealing to sit outside.
But when you get to a port and look at the rest of the ship, it's understood why, there is quite a bit of Rust showing thru..... while other cruise lines do painting maintenance while in port, never saw any NCL personnel with even a paint rush.
It needs some serious ...
I travel on NCL quite a bit but the Epic was horrific. Did a B2B cruise Jan-28-2024 through 3-11-2024. LONG LONG LINES everywhere, whether dining, bars, venues. I've been on many NCL ships and other cruise lines, but nothing like this. The first leg of the trip, they ran out of lite beers on 5th day, and I'm not a beer drinker but EVERYONE was complaining. You had to wait 45 mins for a drink ...
3 days before we sailed, we were contacted by P&O who advised us that our cabin was no longer available and gave us an ultimatum of a downgrade to inside cabin with a 50% refund or cancel our holiday. We were left with no choice but to accept the downgrade. We booked this cruise in June 23. The ship itself is in a poor state and in desperate need of a refurb. The food was substandard. We we both ...
My husband and I embarked on this cruise, despite a radically changed itinerary, because MSC refused our request for a refund. However, our experience was so awful that we disembarked on day 20 of 85 in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and flew home from there. Better to forfeit the unused cruise fare than to continue to subject ourselves to the cruise line’s utter disdain for passengers and 65 more days of ...
If I could give no stars I would. I joined a world cruise with MSC and have had nothing but frustration and grievances. If you are a parent I highly suggest considering another cruise line. A child was assaulted by an adult passenger and when the parents filed a complaint after bringing him to the medical center, nothing was done but a warning. The baby pool on the cruise was under maintenance ...
MSC said the ship was refurbished in 2023 and they must be talking about the exterior of the ship. The public stairs lot dated with the teal and chocolate motif. The cabins are either navy or bordello red. The furniture in the cabin is worn, sun bleached and dated, think 90’s. Dining options are limited. There is the main dining room offering a selection of reoccurring average to say the best ...
We are currently on this terrible cruise
Over 500 people on board have signed a petition protesting the way MSC are treating us.
1. So many sea days
Change of itinerary increasing itinerary to an extra 20 sea days, less port times, and no compensation for these changes or refunds of tax and port fees.
As compared to other cruise companies such as Cunard, princess, costa etc who have ...
We chose this world cruise excited to visit some of our bucket list destinations. While visiting Egypt became impossible due to conflict in the region we were still thrilled we would be going to Rhodes. But not to be. More than half the cruise has been made up of sea days with substandard destinations. Food has bern appalling with regular absence of fresh fruit, salad and now no coffee available ...
