Just completed 20 days on the sun from Seattle to Fl. First off we had a penthouse i bedroom rear facing suite on the 10th floor that had a very large deck with two chairs and two loungers with thick and comfortable pads. We choose because of the itenery. Ship was very clean & crew very friendly. The food was horrible ! Corn & ham on pizza only 1 example. Entertainment I have seen better at high school level. Pool Entertainment was funeral music. They asked us to buy a cruise pkg of $3k upfront lump sum to guarantee them 12 cruises. NO! there was a port cancelation & the refused refund of the port fee. I choose this cruise because it was easy access for my sister and myself as we live in Vancouver.
I have cruised a lot but only once before with Princess to Alaska. I normally use Celebrity.
First of all the good. I cant say enough about the friendliness of the ship crew and staff. 5 stars I would give 6 if I could.

Sapphire was built in 2004 and refurbished in 2018.
It hold ups to 2670 passengers and up to 1100 crew. That's a nice crew to passenger ratio.
This smaller ship really provides wonderful service. We took a repositioning cruise from Vancouver to Los Angeles from October 8th-15th, 2023.
I would have given them a 4 1/2 stars, but that wasn't a choice.

Food was excellent (nice choice and variety). Service has excellent (stateroom stewards were amazing!). Thoroughly enjoyed how close the ship got to Hubbard Glacier. Also enjoyed the other ports of call. The Naturalist on the cruise was also amazing. Saw dolphins, whales, and sea lions from the ship - cool!

This was our first cruise with Princess and the first embarking from San Francisco. What a nightmare that was, we were scheduled to leave from the regular Pier 27 but the night before was told we were at Pier 35 which is just an old Pier. We're Elite with Princess, Club/Reserve Mini Suite Level and sail with them 2-3 times a year and just returned from a 7 day Calif Costal Cruise. I have no problem rating Guest Service at 5 Stars throughout this cruise and our 2 previous cruises in 2022.

This was our first Celebrity Cruise. We departed from Vancouver and there were two ships boarding. I'll bet we walked 2 miles serpentining through the terminal to finally board. Passengers for both ships were together but near the end were finally separated. This could have been real problem for someone with mobility issues.
