Never again Norwegian

Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We chose this cruise because of the Indian Ocean and east Africa itinerary knowing the ship was older but refurbished in 2021 and 4 star rated. The rating should be 2 or 3 star at best and here is why- Main dinning room food options while well prepared, were limited, no lobster, no escargot, no prime rib. We found it dumbed down and nothing special. The ship is tired and quite ...

Cruised on the Dawn for the itinerary. Staying onboard all the way to Capetown. No complaints at all regarding the ship or the food. The only reason for 4 stars is I believe a 5 star rating is reserved for spectacular cruising and very few cruise ships get that rating. The Dawn has gotten us to all the ports as expected and will do so for the next 2 weeks. Being an older ship, it is very ...

Not an enjoyable cruise

Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Overall we didn't find much we liked about this ship or NCL's ability to communicate clearly. The extra charges for simple things really turned us off. Room service is $5 for breakfast and $10 the rest of the day. They will not allow an electric kettle in the room like other lines so if you want hot water it will cost a little over $12 for them to bring you a hot pot of water. Want to get some ...

Very disappointed

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Nautica

My partner and I chose this cruise based on Oceania's tag line "Best cuisine in the sea", or words to that effect. Twenty days on the ship and it was downhill from day two. The problem was the food. It was not just us, but practically every other passenger we spoke to, We have cruised on other lines, Cunard, Celebrity, Holland America, Windstar and have never been disappointed with the ...

Horrible experience. Staff is great. Management on ship on corporate is garbage.

NCL Dawn Cruise from Istanbul to Dubai Nov 24 to Dec 13 The cruise changed a number of times. This was explained as a result of the conflict in Palestine. However, stops in Egypt were removed with others added. Sea days were also added. A credit of $200 for the stateroom was provided for the entire trip. No explanation of the compensation for the missed ports, additional sea days, and reduction ...

Beware Oceania. Middle East cruise that was drastically changed. Disappointing, expensive waste of time and money.

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Nautica

Nautica is a beautiful little ship. The crew were wonderful. Unfortunately this didn’t make up for a number of other issues relating to this supposedly upmarket company. 1. The itinerary change was so drastic it didn’t resemble what we booked in any way. Other ships still visited Egypt, Oman and Salalah and these ports were cancelled on our trip. The day we were meant to visit Athens was windy ...

DO NOT BOOK AN OCEANA CRUISE

In May 2022, my husband and I along with 4 others in our group, put deposits down on what I thought would be a cruise of a lifetime. So I thought. Barcelona to Dubai with visits to Israel and Egypt was what sold us. Fast-forward to 2023 and this cruise itinerary was basically scrapped including Israel, Egypt, Jordan & Oman (and rightfully so because of the war.) However, Oceana replaced these ...

Review for a Middle East Cruise on Azamara Journey

I have sailed Azamara and have rated them a 4 or 5... The ships are small so they get into places where the larger ships don't . The size also allows you to get to really know your staff... Its almost has a family like feeling when dealing with the staff.. This trip however.. the wheels didn't fall off but they were wobbly. Azamara ownership changed and the accounting system was a mess. but i'm ...

Glorified Repositioning Cruise at Passengers’ Expense

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

User Avatar

While there are many rusted on Regent Seven Seas (RSS) cruisers who’ll forgive any sin, beware if you don’t fall into that category. RSS is for you if you’re happy with average casino/club food masquerading as fine dining, stage troupe shows a high school would be embarrassed to put on, & a patronising juvenile approach to passenger announcements/liaison that’s more fit for a kindergarten than ...
