Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

My family of four adults cruised for about 7 nights on the Western Mediterranean Cruise. Let's start with the positives: 1) The rooms: It was enough for two people to share. We were on the third deck, so it was really quiet with the ocean view. I do remember that we were advised by agents during booking that we could get just a single room for 4 people, which I believe would have been very ...

Disappointed

I’d probably go 3.5 stars but, that wasn’t available. We’ve been on a few RC cruises and this one was a little disappointing. The crew did not seem as enthusiastic as we are used to. The exception to thy was our steward. Nice guy who did a good job. The food was good. No issues with the room (balcony). About three days before the cruise, I tried to get our drink packages ordered. Neither ...

Very Disappointed

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

I recently sailed on the MSC Splendida, and unfortunately, it was the worst cruise I’ve ever experienced. The crew’s attitude was far from welcoming, leaving us feeling unwelcome and frustrated. The buffet area was consistently messy. Dirty tables and unclean utensils were a common sight. It’s disappointing when basic hygiene standards are not met. It’s disheartening when such fundamental ...

Worst cruise we have ever been on

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

Where do I even begin. Starting with the paid cruise parking in Genoa, there were absolutely no signs or indications of where to find the entrance, except for an African American gentlemen roaming the streets near the port, stopping cars and offering to explain where the parking entrance is for monetary compensation. Next thing to note, if you don't purchase the alcohol package, the only things ...

Well we have just left the ship and I’m sorry to say of the worse cruises we have ever done. Our cabin was so old and dated. The furniture. was all scratched and damaged. The sofa covered in stains. We could write our name in the dust on the mirror. Spoke with the room Steward but he just laughed. The food is appalling The buffet is like a war zone people fighting to get to the food and ...

This was my first cruise and first solo holiday so was unsure what to expect, i was extremely happy with every aspect of the holiday the food was beautiful, I went on excursion at every port again these were really well organised and some wonderful guides. My biggest fear was dining alone again this fear was soon over come due to attending one of the solo meetings there I met 7 other solo ...

First time cruise certainly won't be our last. From the friendly helpful staff to the organised trips it was excellent. Wasn't sure what to expect but it exceeded our expectations. Some of the entertainment wasn't the best. The choice of food was fantastic from the buffet to the restaurant. Would highly recommend freedom dining as its more flexible.Celebration night wasn't for us as if you ...

NCL Awesome, Ports sightseeing only.

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

To start this was only our 4th cruise with NCL, and as usual the service was excellent. We are seasoned cruiser`s from Florida of over 30 plus cruises all in Caribbean, mostly with Carnival, RCL who cannot hold a candle to NCL. Ship was very clean, don`t understand some reviews saying otherwise, or difficulty of getting around ship. If anything, need to clean exterior glass and new ...

Good at sea, hellish on land

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

Second time on MSC and second YC experience. I'm quite used to the Haven from NCL and I've tried the Retreat and the Star Class. Even though the price with MSC is waaayy lower, the service from the staff is outstanding. Not that it's not also the case with NCL, RCI or Celebrity, but MSC add a little more IMO. For instance, where NCL, RCI do escort you out the ship in every ports, MSC escorts you ...

A PLEASANT SPRING BREAK

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

User Avatar

The NCL Dawn is a nice sized ship with 2,340 passenger capacity. It was launched in 2002 but refurbished in 2021 and still looks good. The main lounge is the Bliss but we preferred the smaller Gatsby’s , which always seemed to be the most popular. Unlike many ships, there are no lounges on the top decks, which is a shame, so we preferred the Norwegian Spirit, Jade and even the Sun. Two ...
