I’m onboard now and the service has declined dramatically! Lots of new staff with attitudes and 3 star service. Rooms are outdated and in desperate need of a renovation. Stains on carpets and drapes . Bathroom still has a musty curtain and room temperature can not be fixed as they were here twice .
The staff questions everything. Order room service for breakfast no cutlery I call they say “are ...
My husband and I embarked on this cruise, despite a radically changed itinerary, because MSC refused our request for a refund. However, our experience was so awful that we disembarked on day 20 of 85 in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and flew home from there. Better to forfeit the unused cruise fare than to continue to subject ourselves to the cruise line’s utter disdain for passengers and 65 more days of ...
Once upon a time…
I have decided to start my review with that sentence because the Crystal Serenity used to be part of a company called Crystal Cruises which was owned by Genting (a Malaysian Company). Crystal cruises ceased operations as a consequence of the financial difficulties from Genting and entered in a process of liquidation in which the ships and assets were sold to different ...
Dear travelberlin,
Thank you for choosing to sail with Crystal and for your lovely review of Serenity. At Crystal, we are pleased to welcome everyone aboard, from solo travelers to families...
Embarkation superb; atrium pathetically underwhelming; cabin spotless and stewardess excellent; ship tired and has the feel of being past it's sell by date; In-house shows very professional; singers average; comedians pretty dire and smutty (the two go together),and in the main not funny; cost cutting everywhere, flogging you stuff at every opportunity; food average only; tea and coffee dire (not ...
We were excited but apprehensive. We had decided not to sail the Symphony again because of the age of the ship and the HVAC issues. Given that this was a newer ship we decided to take the Jan 5 Caribbean cruise as we truly missed sailing on Crystal (had gone on over 35 segments).
The positives: Rooms have been nicely redone and we paid up for the Sapphire suite which was spacious, well ...
Dear minntom,
Thank you for providing your sincere and honest feedback from your recent sailing aboard Crystal Serenity. We sincerely apologize that your time onboard did not meet all your...
Pros are supposed to go before cons, so I will put the positives first, but please don’t miss the negatives later in this review, because although there were a few redeeming qualities, make no mistake, I would never sail with MSC again.
First positive, all the staff below the managerial level deserve to be commended for being true, if not powerless, delights. We had many wonderful interactions ...
If I could give no stars I would. I joined a world cruise with MSC and have had nothing but frustration and grievances. If you are a parent I highly suggest considering another cruise line. A child was assaulted by an adult passenger and when the parents filed a complaint after bringing him to the medical center, nothing was done but a warning. The baby pool on the cruise was under maintenance ...
We are currently on this terrible cruise
Over 500 people on board have signed a petition protesting the way MSC are treating us.
1. So many sea days
Change of itinerary increasing itinerary to an extra 20 sea days, less port times, and no compensation for these changes or refunds of tax and port fees.
As compared to other cruise companies such as Cunard, princess, costa etc who have ...
MSC said the ship was refurbished in 2023 and they must be talking about the exterior of the ship. The public stairs lot dated with the teal and chocolate motif. The cabins are either navy or bordello red. The furniture in the cabin is worn, sun bleached and dated, think 90’s. Dining options are limited. There is the main dining room offering a selection of reoccurring average to say the best ...
We chose this world cruise excited to visit some of our bucket list destinations. While visiting Egypt became impossible due to conflict in the region we were still thrilled we would be going to Rhodes. But not to be. More than half the cruise has been made up of sea days with substandard destinations. Food has bern appalling with regular absence of fresh fruit, salad and now no coffee available ...
