Review for a Africa Cruise on Crystal Symphony

We had sailed on the Symphony prior to the pandemic and were extremely pleased with it. We booked this cruise expecting to continue our feelings towards Crystal. The entertainment, lectures, art class, spa, butler, room attendants, dining in Osteria and uni uma all met these high expectations. Dining in the Marketplace was generally good but there were some mishaps. Our overall cruise was severely ...

20 Days on the Sojourn

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

We decided to cruise on the Seabourn, having only done one other cruise with them. We did back to back cruises, starting in Barcelona and ending in Rome 20 days in all.Embarkation was good. The ship softgoods (interiors of cabins} very very tired. They were in dry dock during Covid, and it would have been a good job to re-do those dark cabins, with lighter fabric. Our penthouse suite was very ...

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Coral Princess

A second world cruise this one to celebrate retirement and selling my business at 73. Compared to 2011 the list of changes makes for a ho-hum experience. The major is that Princess has gone back on their Loyalty Programme that I joined 15 years ago, The major is that elite was promised free internet and now have to pay. That cost me 1000 dollars additional, Perhaps I would have reluctantly ...

Another 18 days - Dubai to Athens

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Jade

User Avatar

SUMMARY The Norwegian Jade is a nice sized ship with a good layout and a spacious theatre. The main dining rooms were well organized and quite spacious. The various specialty dining venues were even better and we enjoyed several good meals in Le Bistro, Cagney's, La Cucina and Moderna. The Teppanyaki was entertaining and we enjoyed the food there but the Jasmine (free anytime) was very ...

Somebody dropped the ball

Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Jade

We selected this sailing for TWO reasons - It was NCL (we previously went on the Prima and Encore), and the itinerary included the Seychelles, Cape Town, and Dubai. The 18 days were not a problem; we've been on longer. What was not thought about: THEATER ENTERTAINMENT - I was surprised that on an 18-day cruise, one gets the same amount of "Broadway Style Productions" as on a 7-day cruise, ...

NCL can´t do trips longer than 10 Day /NCL Jade from Cape town to Athens

Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Jade

Ncl has the goal to provide cruises for the premium segment. But today they are far away. On our cruise from cape town to Athens we had following issues. The embarkation in Cape town took 2,5 hours’ time standing in a line at the cruise terminal, no organisation and information from NCL, In Richards bay we had to go on the passport control for South Africa. The most passenger came with delay from ...

A Great Itinerary with substandard services and experiences

Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Jade

This cruise was chosen because very few ships visit Africa. The cost was high, and as the cruise approached, deals were offered to those who were not yet signed up. This was carefully orchestrated so that previously committed passengers would not get any refunds or future cruise credits. (Do not have NCL arrange airfare, because later deals don’t include air and cannot be compared with early ...

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Splendida

MSC Cruises have been a familiar choice for us, residing in Europe, and our recent experience aboard the MSC Splendida was a departure from the ordinary. This voyage was particularly special as it marked the celebration of my week-long bachelor party with friends. While the cruise had its ups and downs, it was an overall memorable experience. The staff on the MSC Splendida lived up to our ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Jade

This was our 6th cruise with Norwegian out of a total of 22 cruises. We chose this cruise mainly for the passage of the suez canal. On the first day no welcome talk from the captain. Next days just a few times the weather forcast and position of the ship. (not every day!). Also the last day not a word of thanks. Have never seen the captain nor staff captain. They seem to forget that they are ...
