Not so fantastic experience on our 19 night cruise...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Jade

This was our 6th cruise with Norwegian out of a total of 22 cruises. We chose this cruise mainly for the passage of the suez canal. On the first day no welcome talk from the captain. Next days just a few times the weather forcast and position of the ship. (not every day!). Also the last day not a word of thanks. Have never seen the captain nor staff captain. They seem to forget that they are ...

Great experience on the NCL Jade, so we thought we’d try this one. The Positives - The rooms are fantastic, best standard room I’ve been stayed in. The bathrooms are spacious and very nice. Embarkation was also top notch. Staff - They are trying very hard, there are just either not enough of them or they are unprepared to handle the number of passengers (referring to dinning and ...

Cunard QE, first and last time

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

We chose this cruise because the offer from the travel company (Imagine Cruising) seemed great. In hindsight it wasn't all that terrific. First of all, the ship is beautiful. Very understated, but at the same time oppulent. Beautiful chandeliers, nice rooms to relax in. Our stateroom (1105) was great. We stayed in that cabin for 5 weeks (Barcelona to Sydney). Room steward Steven was ...

Costa Indian Ocean Island Cruise - a pleasant surprise

Review for a Africa Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

We selected this cruise and cruise line because of the itinerary as a visit to the islands in the Indian Ocean had long been on our bucket list. The only other cruise lines that regularly sail the Indian Ocean tend to be the deluxe luxury ships, such as Regent, Seabourn and Oceania, which are a bit out of our league pricewise so the Costa option was pretty much a forced choice. As a result we ...

You get what you pay for, hard working crew....

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Opera

I picked this cruise for the price as a solo traveller as I thought the itinerary was good for the time of the year (Dec), overall I got good value for money as the ship was clean and the crew hard working. The food in the buffet was good Italian fare with hotdogs and burgers always a favourite for the kids and grown up's alike. The big let down for me was the standard of food in the restaurants ...

Beautiful ship- but that’s about it.

Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

I have just returned from a 4 day sailing of the MSC Mereviglia. This was my 11th Cruise, but the first on MSC. We were myself, 55 yr old mom and her 23 yr old daughter. This was overall the worse cruise I have ever been on., but of course- not all bad! We were informed via email ahead of time that we would not be going to Ocean Cay, as it was not ready to open as scheduled. A ...

We chose this cruise as an experience of a lifetime. To see places such as Petra and the Suez Canal. We have traveled extensively over our life time. Our previous cruises were fantastic and we decided to try a different cruise line and experience different countries by cruising. The first half of the cruise up until the end of the Suez Canal was as we expected. The shore excursions were very ...

Chose this cruise because of great port diversity: Rome, Kotor, Dubrovnik, Athens, Santorini, South France, Barcelona, Morocco and more. And Because we always have enjoyed Princess and specifically the Emerald. Room was great, see below. cabin steward outstanding. Ship has been updated nicely. Service in main DR was outstanding. Unfortunately the food was terrible! which was a big ...

Needs improvement to compete with other cruiselines

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Preziosa

User Avatar

I chose this cruise because of the ports it was visiting. The ship itself was lovely, but they lacked in a few areas. Not enough staff. I was ordering 2 drinks at a time because there was not enough staff. They did not offer coffee cards like other lines. Instead they try to get you to but a drink package. No water with dinner, you have to buy this in the restaurant. No soft serve, have to ...

Could definitely be better

Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Musica

Heard about the cruise specials offered from work colleagues . Had never been on a cruise before and thought this trip would be a good idea. Kids still on nappies can be a problem as such is not catered for. Short cruises tend to be a problem as some of the facilities such as the kids day care and activities are only discovered midway through the cruise. Perhaps it would be better if a special ...
