While the service crew were outstanding, and tried their hardest to make the cruise pleasant, the truth of it is that this is a Sea Bus. • The food in the dining room and buffets was good (but not outstanding)
• The dining room staff was very friendly (especially our assistant waiter)

Prior to sailing we knew it was an 'older boat', and read the reviews that complained about decor, food, and other various things. But our overall impression after we got off the boat was very positive - almost everything was much better than we expected. Great short getaway for the winter in the warm caribbean waters. My second time on the Explorer OTS is showing its age.
The crew does an amazing job of working it all in harmony with what they have to work with.
The Ship has an outstanding cruise director that definitely adds to the experience.
