The overall cruise was disappointing. I ordered room service almost everyday on the cruise ship and each time the food was cold. They give you leftover fries and wrap them in plastic after they warm it up. Room service took about an hour each time I ordered and food was still cold.. food selections are horrible.. no real restaurants besides the steak house. Beverage Drinks are made up for you ...
Without going into a lengthy explanation here are the higlights:
1. The food was horrible in every restaurant except Izumi and CHOPS (those cost extra). We had mold and hair in our food on 4 ocassions, cold food, wrong order, someone else's food, food so cold hollandaise sause was solid like an omelet, uneatable food and appetizers brought after dinner to say the least.
2. The ship is ...
My family and I had booked the explorer of the seas hoping for a wonderful vacation over the holidays. Little did we know it would completely turn us off of cruising for good. The customer service was absolutely atrocious. When we booked our room we had made sure that they were joining balcony rooms due to the fact that I have a large family and one room would not be enough. The lady who we booked ...
The ship is very, very tired and in need of a major overhaul. Rust all over the place especially at the balconies. Itinerary changed 3 times before we sailed. Even RCCL survey at the end of the cruise wanted us to review a port we did not even go too. My Time Diners had to wait over 2 hours to be seated. Food was very inconsistent and way below RCCL standards. Some venues were not open for diner ...
We have sailed on 9 different Royal Caribbean ships in the last 7 years. There are always a few issues here and there, most of the time just to be overlooked. But not on this ship on this sailing. Our trip departed from Miami on May 14th, 2022. We were originally scheduled to stop in Bonaire, Curacao, and then Aruba. Without any notification to us, the itinerary was changed a couple weeks ...
My wife and I did the Southern Caribbean Cruise out of San Juan on December 5, together with other family members. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean in the past and had great experiences. The company has obviously changed, however, and my experience this time was a nightmare.
First, everyone in our group booked a specific stateroom and paid in full for the cruise at the time of booking. ...
First of all let's start by saying that I booked a deluxe balcony suit and spend over $18,000 on a 9 day cruise for my family. To start off, the cruise didn't even include transportation from the Miami airport to the dock. That was an additional charge. Once we boarded we couldn't even go on to our private balcony because it was covered in exhaust soot from the boats exhaust. The bed was hard as a ...
This cruise was cut to 11 days due to bad weather on previous cruise. RCI did offer a price reduction - pro rata - or a full refund to be used towards a future cruise. Apparently full cash refunds were offered, but we did not know this at the time. Anyway we decided to go despite the change which meant we only visited one Caribbean Island instead of four.
Summary: barding was excellent and on ...
Boarding went well, about 20 minutes from time we arrived at terminal 1 in Port Canaveral. We had lunch in the Windjammer restaurant. I had sliced roast beef; it was good. A small piece of sugar free strawberry mousse and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert was great. We got our cabin (6536) about 1:00pm and our bags arrived about 3:00pm; better than expected or promised. The Explorer is due for ...
I want to start off by saying that we were avid RCCL cruisers. We went on the Mariner of the Seas in 2008 and had the time of our lives. Last year we went on the Explorer of the Seas, and even though there were some issues, we still walked off the ship saying what a great time we had. This time however finished us off RCCL. We believed RCCL was the "Cadillac" of cruise lines- well now they are the ...
