I was on the RCI Explorer of the Seas for a 9 night Bermuda and Caribbean cruise from Cape Liberty on the 18th April.
It was a fantastic cruise and I couldn't fault it. Embarkation was quick and easy. I arrived at 10.45 and was on the ship by 11am. I wondered around the ship to get photos before the ship filled up.
I went to the Windjammer to eat when it opened at 11.30am.

This was our 4th cruise, 3rd with RCL, 2nd on Explorer. We drove to New Jersey and stayed at Country Inn and Suites, Elizabeth the night before. We used the shuttle they provided for $35 per person, round trip to get to the ship. The shuttle was delayed by construction traffic. The trip to the ship was also delayed because of an accident and fire on the bridge.

Embarkation After Baltimore, Cape Liberty is a chaotic mess for dropping off the luggage and getting to the ship. We were in line for about 20 minutes to drop off the luggage. Embarkation: We were anxious to try the Bayonne port as we could drive to Port Liberty and not have to worry about flying during the winter.
