Worst Cruise Ever

I have sailed with RCL 6 times before, 20 times total between 3 different cruise lines, and I have never experienced such atrocious service, disgusting facilities, and horrible food as Explorer offered on this 9 day Bermuda and Caribbean cruise. I have talked up cruises so much, that our friends who have never cruised before decided to join us this time for their first cruise. It was so bad, that ...

First off waited 2 hours to embark the ship, the stateroom was disgusting dirty, old TV, no hot water and LOUD NOISE AND VIBRATION due to engine and propeller problems. The cruise was crowded. Sitting dinner was difficult, the buffet was horrible, and the service was extremely slow and unhelpful. Everyone seemed miserable but that didn't stop the cruise employees from hustling more money from ...

My family traveled on the 5-Day Bermuda cruise out of Cape Liberty on August 2014. We have sailed on many river and ocean cruises before and have been on 7 previous Royal Caribbean cruises prior to this voyage. Our family comes together only once a year and coordinating so many people's schedules (14 in total) made this vacation truly important. Needless to say, we were massively disappointed in ...

The name does not mean quality; suites don't represent ratings

For our anniversary and my birthday we selected a grand suite on the Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas. First the suite was NOT grand it was filthy - stains on the sofa and the chair, stains on the coverlet and sheets. The toilet had urine streaks down the front, the bathtub had multiple soap scum runs down the sides. For 3 days we found more issues. The first day we asked for the room to be ...

Royal Caribbean was a huge disappointment....

After cruising on numerous other lines: Carnival, Norwegian, Holland America and Disney, we were excited to try something new with Royal Caribbean. This was a family cruise to celebrate the 50th birthday of two members of our family and we ranged in age from 5-54. The ship was crowded and did not flow well compared to other ships we have been on. It was also worn and not well kept. The carpet ...

For the price of the cruise per night I could have stayed in a 5 star hotel. .First the ship needs some refurbishing in the staterooms. Furniture was all nicked, the coach was stained. the Balcony was full of rust and paint spots. I found the entertainment to be terrible. Any of the so called pool parties etc. were only 1 hour. Every where you went there was another camera in your face or a ship ...

My family sailed with RCCL for the first time, with expectation the it was a shade better than other cruise lines (Carnival,NCL,etc.), but was quite disappointed with the service, food, onboard activities offered on the ship. The ship sailed in the midst of hurricane Irene and the sea was very rough, which was kind of expected. For the first 2 days, almost all on-board activities were closed ...

Embarkation: At Cape Liberty we had to take an un-airconditioned bus to the ship. I use a small scooter and these buses were grossly inadequate and uncomfortable. Upon boarding, we looked around t the public rooms, they were nice, and the famous promenade. We investigated it and were grossly disappointed. There were about 4 stores and that was it. We had the Star Princess to compare it to and in ...

My wife and I went on the 5 day cruise on the Explorer of the Seas out of Bayonne, NJ to Bermuda. Our only other experiences with cruising were 2 cruises on Carnival, The Legend of the Seas, and 1 cruise on The Pride. We had a Junior Suite on all our cruises. Royal Caribbean does an excellent job with embarkation and debarkation. It is extremely well organized. Carnival did a good job with ...
