Cabin – We had a deluxe balcony 6624 on the hump. The room was large with a small sitting area and desk. The bed is two twins either separated or apart with comfortable linens. The bathroom is the typical small room with sink, toilet and shower, but the shower had a nice door closure instead of just a shower curtain. The shower pressure could have been a little more powerful. The balcony was a ...
Well I have to report that this cruise was very disappointing. Not considering the cruise port itself, I think that will improve greatly when the new terminal is completed. Our cabin was clean and our Steward (Stanley) did a great job. We had an old tube type TV that cut off the sides of some of the programming.
We found the public bathrooms to be the biggest disappointment. On three occasions ...
Just got in from our 5 day Explorer of the Seas trip to Bermuda and figured I would post a review before the memories fade! Before I begin, I'm generally not one to focus on the negatives. This cruise had a lot of them, however.
Embarkation: For us it was a breeze. We left CT at 8:30 am and arrived at the port around 10 am. We hopped out, dropped off our luggage and were placed in a line to board ...
I took this cruise with two girlfriends as a quick getaway. We had a balcony room for three on deck 8. Our room was a bit on the small side, but worked out fine. I have sailed on RCI 5 times prior, and have also cruised three other lines. EOS was the very first cruise ship I ever sailed on in 2005, and while the ship overall is in OK shape, it is no secret that it is time for a major refurb. There ...
The ship was fine and very enjoyable, however I could see the need of the soon to be overhaul. It wasn't to the point of disliking the ship in any way as we were there to have fun and did so. Our ship couldn't do the expected speed so it left us having less time on a couple of the Islands which was disappointing but I'd rather sail safely. So there is some fixing to do on the ship, as Royal C. ...
DH and I eagerly arrived at Cape Liberty to embark on a 5 day trip to Bermuda. This is my 3rd cruise, his first. We arrived at the terminal just after 12:30pm and had to wait quite a bit to park our car. Once we parked, it was a short time through the terminal and then to the shuttles taking us to the ship. Yes, this process seems silly, but until the new terminal is completed, it works even if it ...
This is our 8th cruise, the 6th with Royal Caribbean, 4th on the Explorer of the Seas. We traveled with a group of 8, 4 cabins. Our ages ranged from 19 to 75.
Getting on the cruise was a nightmare. When we reached the cruise port at Bayonne, we waited 1 hour in a line of traffic to drop off our suitcases. Only half of the car ports were open due to a lack of staffing. Then another 20-30 minutes ...
we are just returning from a 5 day trip to hell, oops, Bermuda and back. we never made our excursion as we were more than 3 hours late do to a propulsion problem. it rained the entire first day once we got thee. the 2nd day we left early due to Hurricane Cristobal heading our way. We had more than 900 little children on board so imagine what fun it was for two days on board with nothing much ...
This was our 6th trip to Bermuda and second cruise on the Explorer of the Seas. We had previously cruised to Bermuda once on the Voyager of the Seas and twice on the Norwegian Dawn. We also stopped at Bermuda on other extended itineraries on the Voyager of the Seas and the Crown Princes. My wife and I have been on 20 cruises since we started cruising in 2013. Five of us traveled on this cruise: My ...
First off waited 2 hours to embark the ship, the stateroom was disgusting dirty, old TV, no hot water and LOUD NOISE AND VIBRATION due to engine and propeller problems. The cruise was crowded. Sitting dinner was difficult, the buffet was horrible, and the service was extremely slow and unhelpful. Everyone seemed miserable but that didn't stop the cruise employees from hustling more money from ...
