We always have excellent service from room stewards, dining room staff, and other crew members on Royal Caribbean. Here’s my review of our cruise on Explorer. We sailed from Miami (Terminal G) from July 3-9.
Fast facts:
• We stayed in an Owner’s Suite (cabin 1292 on Deck 10).
• This was our 4th RC cruise: 2 on Symphony, 1 on Brilliance, then this. We went from Platinum to Emerald on this cruise, and will go to Diamond after our planned November cruise on Symphony.

Overall, it was a good cruise. Good value, good time. Great staff who worked very hard. My comments will include some suggestions and minor complaints. I would do it again, and probably will.
The ship is aging and will have a 40 day refit beginning in March 2015. She needs it.

Even though this ship is considered "old" in the Royal Caribbean fleet, I did not note any age. I did not observe any dated or faded décor. We had a balcony cabin, which was spacious and kept spotless. Our sons had an oceanview cabin and again was spacious, as well as spotless. Their housekeeper even folded their clothes!
